Well my co-worker and I have been trying to figure out catfishing this summer. We have dedicated ourselves to strictly catfishing. We have tried pools 2 and 4 as well as the MN river. We have had some to little success. Numerous skunk days with some days only catching a couple. We have both spent a lot of money on catfish gear. It’s been tough but the last 2 days we finally started figuring things out. We went out on pool 2 yesterday and caught 9 channels with six of those in the 4 to 8 pound range. Well today on pool 2 I got to enjoy fishing with my dad, which doesn’t happen as often as it should. He loves catching catfish and he was hopefull after hearing about the day we had yesterday. Well it turned out being the best catfishing day the both of us have ever had. I caught my PB flathead 30lbs. My dad caught his PB flathead 25lbs and PB channel cat at 15lbs. We also landed 7 more in that 2-9 pound range. Thanks to all the cat guys on IDO for sharing their expertise, and helping the common angler. All the big cats were caught on cut bait. Secret 7 and sudden impact also put fish in the boat. We worked current seems with rock and wood nearby. Hopefully the pictures aren’t rotated.
