3 mile

Has anyone tried pulling spinners behind bottom bouncers on 3 mile? I have been doing very well on Garrison reef pulling chartreuse bug pattern blades or an orange smiley blade with superdeath. The only issue is that (in my experience) Garrison reef holds a ton of fish but they tend to be smaller than on other structure.

I am planning on hitting 3 mile after work until dark tonight so any info will help.

    Thanks,
    EIU

I did good on Saturday pulling similar colors on the south end gravel. We caught quite a few big ones over 24, biggest was a tick over 28″. It was a fun day! I wouldn’t be scared to give it a shot! Good luck & tight lines!! toast

We ended up doing really well last night. Not as many fish as Garrison reef but the size was much better. All fish came on 2 blades, blue perch and white/copper. Fish preferred a full crawler over slow death and half a crawler. I tried a few different colors with slow death but when I brother in law when up 4 fish to 0, I had to switch to a full crawler.

Not sure on the final count but we ended up with 7 over 24 with the biggest being 27.

Nice fish! Thanks for putting up a report. It looks like the wind was perfect, enough for a ripple, but not enough to make big waves to deal with.

I was up last Saturday for the day. I have only been on it a few times. I marked a lot of fish, and caught a few. I was using slow death with half a crawler. It is funny how sometimes they want a full crawler. I guess I should have tried that also.

The weather was awesome. Just enough of a breeze to give a little ripple but not enough to make it hard to control my little boat.
