Tomorrow is the start of the last turkey season. Who else did not tag out there season and is going to take advantage of the new law and try again this season to get it done? I’m hoping to slip out this weekend for a few hrs, I’m still seeing tom’s strutting in open fields, so hopefully they will still be vocal and callable. Good luck
The last 2 weekend while out fishing I’ve been hearing a ton of birds gobbling so I’d say the hunting should still be good. I tagged out season B. Its nice that they let those who were unsuccessful get another shot at them this year.
Will be very interested to hear how you do. Where are you heading? Staying near Austin, or elsewhere?
It will be really interesting to hear reports from guys hunting later under the new MN rules. Please post reports of what you’re hearing and seeing as far as activity. I’m assuming that since I tagged out in the B season this year, I’ll be low man on the drawing totem pole for next year, so I’ll probably be joining in late if I want to hunt at all.

I will be interested in hearing back how people thought about going back out if you did not tag out. I’ve heard already a lot of mix complaints already.
My dad was able to take advantage of the new rule this morning called in 3 longbeards. He did feel bad because of having permission earlier this season the land owner did not let others hunt that have hunted the later seasons for the last 8 years. They would hunt after my dad tagged out or season was over.
I’m actually going to be over east by fountain. I had A season last year and tagged out, actually have had A season for 3 years in a row now, so depending on what zone you hunt you could end up getting B season again. As far as I know there has only been 1 other guy hunting the property and that was B season and he tagged out.
I am hoping to get out once more with my unused tag, but not sure if I will or not.
My 3 yr old son got a stomach bug Friday and ended up sick all weekend, so I didn’t make it out to the woods. Did anyone make it out? Weather isn’t looking to good for this coming weekend either, looking like I’ll be eating my tag this year.
I did not, the small mouth were jumping in the boat on Mille Lacs, so I did that instead. Going to Montana this weekend so I am having tag soup too
