Hey guys, I’ve been going to kabby for 15 years now for opener but a few years ago we were froze out so we moved our trip to the weekend after opener and it seems to have stuck. We have always used shiners on lindys in 10-15 fow and done very well, until last year which like this year was a early spring. I was wondering if any of you who frequent kabby have used crawlers with bottom bouncers early on years like this with any luck. Just a bit worried about our trip and thinking of other options for putting fish in the bots. Thanks in advance.

I don’t know if I would necessarily call this an early spring. The ice only went off Kab on 4/27. I was out on Namakan Sunday chasing pike and the main basin water temps were still in the mid 40’s. With low temps in the 20’s this weekend the water probably isn’t going to warm up a lot anytime soon.
