The prop on the shaft keeps working its way back towards the bearing housing. When this happens it pushes the inside nut and plastic washer up against the bearing housing and it acts like a brake. I have tried to back the prop against the inside nut and tightened the outside nut and locking nut but it didn’t work. Any suggestions to help us with this? Thanks. Shawn

Sounds like your missing the ‘Thrust-Washer’…..this washer is usually a ‘splined’ washer, and goes on the shaft first. The splines on the shaft do not go all the way to the bearing, thus, when the prop goes on the splines shaft, it first comes to rest against this washer and can go NO further. Then usually a regular ‘keyed’ washer, the ‘over the nut lock washer, then the ‘cooter-key’ ….
Hope this made sense to you.
Anyone else, please chime in….. )

I have a plastic washer that goes up against the bearing housing then a nut and three washers. Then the prop and a plastic washer and 2 nuts.

There was a piece of “plastic washer thing” riding along the three inside washers? It was broke. I looked on the web site and it did not show this piece that was broke? Thanks.

Waiting for a call back from Beavertail. All parts in the picture are on the shaft. Including part #1. What is happening parts #1-#6 are moving down the shaft an putting pressure on the gear ( bearing)housing. This acts as a break. Part #7 stays where its at?
