I would assume the Vikings were shopping the pick given that Dart and Sanders were still on the board…but probably didn’t find the offer they were hoping for and went with a relatively “safe” pick in interior OL.

The Vikes turned their pick in before Goodell had finished announcing the GB pick, so I’m guessing they had no interest from anyone trading up and they really liked their guy. Can’t say I have any idea about him individually. But I like that he can play more than 1 position, so whether it’s him or Brandel backing up they both have that flexibility. Bonus points for the Randell McDaniel-esque stance too! jester

205k people went to the draft, and heard hotels were full all the way to Milwaukee. Maybe I’m just old and crotchety but you couldn’t pay me to go to that mess. Looked like Times Square, but all drunk rubes.

I wonder if AP was at the Vikings draft party last night, or should I say this morning….

AP ate his breakfast in the Hennepin County Jail.

    he’s in trouble again!!

    AP is a loser.

We will end up paying for him despite him making $100 million in his career. He’s already had court ordered payments on debt. He has 8 children with 6 women. He’s been charged with child abuse. Now he’s back in this news again for stupidity and a DWI. Class act.

It looked cool to see all those people there for the draft but not for me. That would be my personal hell to stand in a giant crowd for hours and listen to players get drafted that most people have never heard of.

Yeah, I couldn’t imagine just standing there to watch a guy read a name once every 5 minutes. On TV you get analysis, highlight reels, etc. Plus I can get a beer without paying $15 for it and go to the bathroom without walking 3 miles.
