7 days till the draft starts, what would you like to see from Qwesi?

I would stay at #24 and pick one of these guys if still available (Nick Emmanwori (Safety), Malaki Starks (Safety), Grey Zabel (Guard), Jahdea Barron (CB) or Tyler Booker (Guard) as they would all most likely be day 1 starters…

IF they are gone, I would try to slowly trade down and out of the 1st round (2 trades if possible) and acquire 3 or 4 in the top 100, then you just go BPA

Packers fan here, but I agree with your assessment for the Vikes.

The roster is one of the most talented in the league. Trading up would be an unnecessary risk. Stay put if someone you value is there, and if not look to move back.

This season’s outcome is still all going to come down to health at key postions + the trigger man/savior JJ.

For all you 20,30,40 year olds the day will come where the Viking off season talk gets old quick. Nobody who counts knows anything about what teams will do. The writers just continually throw stuff against the wall to give people something to talk about.

that’s why the post is asking what you (as a Vikings fan) would like to see them do…

I would like to see them stay with their picks for a change, and just take the best available athlete at those picks. They have enough holes, just go with the best talent when presented. I think the Vikes do better than average with their picks, so live with it.

The Pack, they always do good with their picks, hopefully this is the year they miss, ha!!!!!

The Vikes have such little draft capital, and late in the round, that prognosticating it is a fools errand. Take best player available whenever they end up drafting.

Thanks for the reminder! I forgot to share this article titled, “Study Concludes Packers Have Had Worst Drafts Over Last Decade”. rotflol rotflol rotflol It’s science.

For me its Grey Zabel (G), Kenneth Grant (DT), Jahdae Barron (S), Maxwell Hairston (CB), or Derrick Harmon (DT), barring a crazy slide for a higher ranked player. I’m not too terribly high on Emmanwori, but if we take him I trust the staff won’t let Cine 2.0 happen. End of the day we need to sit tight and take BPA.

Vikings now have one of the largest salaries in the NFL. They are built to win now. The draft needs a couple of players ready for the NFL now … starters or special teams.

The position with the largest question mark is of course QB.

I would get the best OL available if they are projected to start now. The new QB needs time to work his progression.

yeah, I had 2 OL guys on my draft at #24 list…A Guard or Center would just solidify the rebuilt line, Zabel can play both as a starter…Booker would lock down one of the Guard spots day 1… There’s also a Texas kid that can play both Tackle and Guard which would be invaluable when someone gets hurt…

I used to follow the draft quite closely but lost interest because my opinion does nothing.

I watched 10 minutes of YouTube to decide Hamilton was the pick but Kweefsi drafted back to take Cine. Then the same with Verse and that clown traded up for Turner. I literally watched 5 minutes and could tell Verse was gifted.

He can crunch numbers but his tape study is trash. He uses big words and likes to colab with others but anybody can throw poop at a wall.

Not a fan of Spielman or Kweefsi but hopefully KOC has a word on picks?

I think it’s important for those in the Minnesota fan base to hear things like this because you realize maybe the personnel from our teams aren’t the worst ever at what they do. I’m not saying Spielman or Kwesi are great but every team has its issues. The 49ers are falling apart, with many key players leaving in free agency because they’re getting too expensive. Wouldn’t be as big of a deal if they had the three 1st-round picks on their roster they traded away to draft Trey Lance, who isn’t even on the roster anymore.

This year’s draft-wise, to get back on the thread topic, I’m hoping they don’t get cute and just draft the best offensive lineman or defensive player on the board at 24. And I hope things turn around with their drafting and for a change we get some key contributors out of this and next year’s draft. I think Kwesi’s free agent moves have been almost top-of-the-league good, but that means this team is going to be a little older and get very expensive in a few years. The solid players they got, like Greenard and Van Ginkel, by letting big contracts like Cousins and Hunter go, are great but the next contracts up for guys like this are going to be a ton, and we’re going to need guys from the 2025 and 2026 to be starting-caliber to replace them.

Yeah, not sure how Pace got that job? Any interview with that guy is awkward as hell. Weird guy too.

I heard a “rumor” that the Vikings will be signing Asante Samuel Jr after the draft
