Yeah, if you look from the Northwest and West side, it looks like the ice is out.. but about 3 or 4 miles out, its still a big sheet of ice !!

Decent chance of rain tomorrow. That might just do it.

From what I seen this morning, it will be called today, 4/17. All the ice was on the north end and was smaller pieces. Garrison access was wide open. Nobody picked today.

I drove by the west side yesterday and its open and will likely be called, however there is still a lot of ice on the north end, I didn’t stop to look but ice as far as I could see around Myr Mar and even a bit south of it.

Where do you find the official ice out declaration? I’m standing at the north end of the lake right now and drove the east side and saw nothing.

Officially when you can take a boat from the Garrison Access to Isle bay, its declared ice out. Steve Fellegy has been the unofficial keeper of this, as he lives in the Garrison area. They used to make the voyage, but with technology today, he uses satellite images and a high power scope. He said on FB, it was out today. Evidently yesterday there was still 40 square miles of ice out there.

Sorry, Looks like Big G for the win. 4-19

I heard the prize was a case of leftover Bud with Mulvaney’s picture on it so I was not taking this seriously with my 4-14 guess. grin

Drove around west side to grab the boat today. Pretty quiet out there today. A little ice slush on south end but that was about it. Brisk wind up there today was a bit chilly early in day. Thought about putting in water looks low on west side.
