To me it’s weird how you guys have a great quarterback that just recently had two poor games, but immediately the pitchforks and torches come out.

14-3 and he has to go??? Seems crazy to me??

If Love left the Packers tomorrow I’d take Darnold in a heartbeat. The lights were a little too bright for him tonight, but he has a lot of talent and proven potential.

“…unto you is born a savior”

We shall call him JJ McCarthy

I heard his leg is now bionic like the little kid in the rookie of the year. Can run and throw faster than anyone in history.

Seriously that was almost the most pathetic 2 weeks of vikings football my 50 year old arse has seen. I would say the worst but the last 2 nfc championship game beat downs against giants and eagles hold special spots in my aging heart.

Maybe we can go fish in Cabo together now?

Well maybe, both our teams are out of it. I would think a Viking fan would be a little pissed off at the coaching at the end of the game. It’s like KOC gave up with over 6 minutes left in the game. Not a good look to his players I would think.

That’s the first time I’ve seen a coach essentially quit with about 10:00 left in a do or die playoff game. You usually don’t see that in the NFL, rather just the NBA

Coming from a guy that got swept by 1 year QB. rotflol have fun with that 220 million who’s completion percentage was below Danny dimes.
Pretty sure Lefluer is getting torched right about now as well.
Pot meet kettle. Love the packer trolls.

^^^^ But the Packers manhandled the Rams in LA.

Funny how some teams do better against others, and every year is different.

The Vikings won “their” Superbowl this year (against the Packers), but in the end it doesn’t mean squat because they’re both golfing on the big day mrgreen

I will take our QB situation over the Vikings QB situation any day of the week, I have to laugh at all the hype the Queens fans are heaping on McCarthy. First off he has even played in a NFL regular season game, and you already anointing him a franchise QB. Same thing you were all saying about Darnold a couple of weeks ago LOL. Most 1st round QB never make it and looking at the other 1st round QB’s taken last year what are the odds McCarthy makes it. Slim and none IMO.

My summary of the season. Always thought my packers were a game away from hitting stride while at the same time expecting the Vikings to return to form any time. In hindsight MN was better than I wanted to give em credit for and the packers were never as good as I wanted em to be. Guess that’s what fandom looks like.

I think both teams have good coaches and I think both of them coached some really awful games down the stretch. On my side I sure hope MLF is willing to keep learning and growing cuz he took a big step bag this year in my mind. KOC in the second half today would give me serious pause as MN fan as well. That was a horribly called second half. I know Sam was helping but you gotta at least go down swinging.

Just like Lovie Smith with the Bears. Their season was a success if they beat the Pack but lost every other game they played. woot

I would think both teams are not super stoked but at least one doesn’t cripple your team financially.
I guess we will see next year since neither has a pot to urine in now.
Going into the season one QB overachieved and one underachieved.
I don’t think the vikes ever expected Sam Darnold to be the guy of the future till there hand was forced.
One has hope for the future at QB. One hopes the future is not the present at QB.
Good luck to Sam but don’t see how they don’t move on in some way.
I think the north is going to be a bitch the next few years. Unlike the south and west.

Where is the Flores fire. Haven’t stopped them yet. Tear it all down.

Or is it Stafford good and Darnold is average at best? Just not sure. May the other Sam is available after this season.

Uh, Stafford is good and always has been. And yes Sam darnold is average. He showed glimmers of hope and even greatness a few times throughout the reg season but always comes up short when it really matters. At this point he has proven to be an average NFL quarterback.

Of course our offensive line didn’t help but neither did our coaching. Sammy might just need to go(KOC is an honorable mention as much as I like his post game talks). I would get my ass kicked out there because I’m not a pro football player so maybe I shouldn’t talk like I know anything, but these are my observations.

Defensively, secondary is also very questionable while linebacking is good.

Overall, we suck when it counts and need to do better. ESPECIALLY on offense. For gods sake we have big weapons that just sit idle because of one or two faults in the system, which probably just comes down to coaching in the long run.

    Anyways. Skol?

We need Bass Pundit to come in and give a good psycho-analysis.

My psycho-analysis proved to be prophetic once again. I hit the brake’s hard on BP’s Vikings Bandwagon, recognizing last week’s yellow light for what it was. KOC doesn’t quite get playoff football. Instead of playing their best, his teams take a step or two back. The pattern repeated itself last week vs. the Lions. I see a pattern, and I go with it until proven otherwise. KOC now 0-3 in the playoffs, as far as I’m concerned.

If the price is right, I am 100% for bringing Uncle Sam back next year. He has the physical tools, and he showed growth between the disaster in Detriot and the Rams game. He is still young and teachable.

There was the mn team we all remember so well, look like kids playing when we play against a team with actual talent. They won 14 games this year solely because there was that many trash teams. The vikes can’t even hang with a good team. Send sam down the road, last night was embarrassing

8 of their wins were by less than one score. They are a .500 team that caught some lucky breaks.

Darnold cost himself some money for sure over the last two weeks. Still wouldn’t be surprised if they try to sign him for next year since McCarthy is still an unknown in the pros. Unless Darnold still wants big money and D. Jones is willing to play cheap, who knows. For some perspective, Sam is 43-40 as a starter and spent a lot of time with Jets and Panthers.

Vikes need to get better at controlling the LOS on both sides. Haven’t been able to run the ball up the middle for years. And even though the vikes run defense was ranked relatively well, they give up way too many 5-6 yards runs.

Pack fans may want to get your eyes checked if you think the pack has a good qb situation. Love is 21-21 as a starter, just keep holding your breath waiting for them to “grow up” and turn the corner I guess.

Maybe the NFC north isn’t as good as everyone thought, just beating up on bad AFC south and NFC west teams.

That being said, even as bad as the vikes were these last two weeks they were expected to win like 6 games this year and ended up winning 14. Hard to end on a bad note but they were better than expected

The warning signs were there early. How many times this season did they have a good lead only to lose it in the second half? They did that with the Packers twice. That doesn’t happen because of the players. The coaching on this team is vastly over rated. KOC a was a linebacker coach before he got this job. He’s in over his head, week after week. The Vikings were also lucky. How many games did they win because of a defensive touchdown? Nope, just like a couple of years ago this was an average at best team with a shiny record.
