Darnold needs to quit holding his hands around his neck and start throwing the ball on target.
and try throwing a screen with all the blitzing.

The Lions just lost a starting cornerback. There must be other players open besides Jefferson for cryin’ out loud

Not sure 34-28 is happening. Defensive game so far.

I don’t know, the defenses have been pretty good, the chess matches between coaches have been good, that was a whale of a hit on Gibbs. It’s old fashion defensive football where one mistake means you win or lose the game.

2 turnovers for the lions. 4 trips to the red zone for the Vikes and 9 points. A kickoff out of bounds to let Detroit score at the end of the half and 3 botched 4th down attempts. How many more mistakes do we need?

Nice of the officiating crew to ice the kicker. Getting back for all the missed delay of game calls?

Too many mistakes gonna cost us this one!

I can’t tell if we’re getting out coached by their D Coordinator or if our players are just getting outplayed, but our “World class receivers” should be getting open against injury replacement players and they just aren’t… the few times they have, Sam was under pressure on the throw and he missed them…

    Bring on the Rams!

Darnold ain’t no caulpepper but maybe try a qb draw or something inside the 5 what they are doing ain’t working. Darnold making their defense look good. All throws getting defended cause there late on crosses or all over in the red zone.

Brutal game for Sam for sure, but the play calling and effort on offense was worse. Can’t blame a game like this on the defense. They kept them in the game and it was just a horrible offensive performance from the players and coaches. Denny Green coaching effort to a T. Couldn’t adjust or figure out a beat up defense. Horrible play calling. No effort. No execution. No nothing.

The Lions are going to the SB to represent the NFC.

They are beyond battered on defense, played a brutal first half on offense, lost the turnover battle, and might still beat the Vikings by 30 as the second best team in the NFC.

Maybe……… Maybe this was a good loss. Another team just gave us a beating and exposed our weaknesses. There’s always a chance the MN coaches didn’t think these weaknesses existed. Atleast now they have a week to fix what they can before our playoffs game.

    Oooofff

The beat up Kitties made the healthy Vikes look like the JV squad. They definitely put them in their place.

They have momentum and homefield to back it up. Anyone winning in Detroit the rest of the season would be a crazy upset.

Pre game reporter: Is there any Lions defender who can cover you?

JJ: There aint no one in the league who can cover me!

    Except the lions.

Heck of a performance by the Vike’s D until the damn broke on the missed INT by Gink. It was over after that.

Hopefully we play better then that in the playoffs. That looked rough, was a taste of a team we all remember so well.

2nd and goal from the 3. 3 tries to make 3 yards and every time you throw a low percentage pass. Uffda, drives me frickin nuts. We deserved to get our arsses handed to us.

Terrible game for sure. Defense played good until they got tired. Offensive was embarrassing but it’s not like we lost to the bears. Lions are a very good team.

Glad I didnt stay up for that one. Darnold looked terrible. Our kicker looked terrible. Inside the 10 how many times and zero pts? KOC was never aggressive going for it on 4th all year and picked this game to do it with very conservative or just plain bad play calls/execution. Now we get to have a what 9PM game next Monday?

The lions handled the pressure of a big game much better than the Vikings. I think the big moment got to Darnold. Hard to believe that Detroit played this good of a game with all the injured players they have. If they were fully healthy on Defense I don’t think there is a team who could beat them.

Darnold might have cost himself a lot of money. If throws up a stinker in the first round all the talk of a big extension or free agency signing will be over.

No, normal kickoff time for central time zone, 7:15pm. Which would be a 5:15pm start in LA.

Opening line has the Vikings favored by 2.5 points against the Rams.

Thanks Gim that will make it more palatable but if they play like they did last time against the Rams or this week against the Lions I wont be watching long. I expect them to play far better, but they sure made it tougher for themselves.
