13-2 with Sam Darnold at the helm. Just wow!

    Big Stat for sure!

    Some other cool ones:

Vikings are undefeated when Blake Cashman plays

Kevin O’Connell is the first Vikings coach in history to have more than one 13 win season.

Sure hope there are some serious conversations about Darnold returning next season.

Looks like the Commanders did the NFC a favor by beating the Eagles with 6 seconds remaining today. Jalen Hurts suffered a concussion.

That was an entirely different Seahawks team than last week, probably their best version. Felt like a playoff game, on the road, and we handled them. Great road W, and now it’s big boys of the North time. Not today Detroit and GB, but the true North Remembers. (Game of Thrones references)

I don’t see how they let Darnold walk after this year. Let McCarthy learn and actually get reps next year.

Man this team is fun to watch. I’ve been watching KOCs post game speeches every week this year and man do I love watching him do his thing. KOC is a heck of a coach, we are lucky to have him.

Worst 13-2 team ever. I’ve said it all year and I’ve got to keep saying it. Week after week they struggle but keep finding ways to win. I’ll take 2 more ugly wins in the regular season and then 3 more ugly wins in the playoffs. If nothing else they keep ever game exciting. I bet they have caused more than a few heart attacks this year.

I’m starting to get worried that I am bad luck, when I sit down and watch the game they always make mistakes and play terrible. If I just have it on and am busy doing stuff they do good. Some of there best games they played I haven’t been able to watch. I did attend the SF game so maybe I am wrong. Don’t blame me if they choke this weekend as I will be at the game with a group from work.

Could the announcers yesterday kiss the Seachicken’s arse any harder? I think color commentary guy wanted to set himself up for the “I saw the comeback coming.” In the 4th quarter so he was just all about how awesome Seattle was on every play.

Until they threw the INT on what could have been the game winning drive.

IDK what game you were watching, sure it was close, but they were ahead or tied the whole game except the one drive late, that the Vikings answered with a 4 play 70 yard TD drive to immediately regain the lead. On the road vs a potential playoff team that was healthy. And the two weeks before that they won 30-12 and 42-21. Not saying the road to New Orleans is painted purple, but you just aren’t paying attention if you think what I quoted.

Totally agree. They should extend him for a long, long time.

Not to mention the fact that they hadnt won in Seattle in like 18 games.

It was more of a Joke. I’ve been saying it after every game this year. Its worked so far so I’m going to keep going with it. By the way I also said the same thing about the 2022 Vikings team, I will say that year I was a bit more serious about the comment.

I really hope that both the Vikings and Lions can win Next week. Both have a difficult game. It would be great to see the Vikings and Lions play for the division title and #1 seed in the final game of the regular season.

Definitely feels like 2022 at times, but then I remember we walked into the playoffs that year with a -3 point differential, as a 13-4 team lol. I think we are +120 or something this year? That’s a pretty massive difference, our defense is just SO much better this year than it was in 2022.

Our two toughest games are coming up, should really see what this team is made of to close out the season! It’d be great to see the Vikes win a super bowl someday, but I must say that this ownership group at least does a damn good job making this team relevant year after year.

What a massive difference the 1 seed would be though, 5 seed as a 13 or 14 win team would be so lame!

That is why I said that year was a more serious comment. I really feel like this year we have a decent chance to make some noise in the playoffs.

Don’t over-value the defense. Darnold will need to win a shootout or two to get anywhere.

Great win against a team that seldom loses at home, sign Darnold long term immediately

No need to. He isn’t going anywhere for awhile.

I think we’ll need to score 30+ points in each of the next 2 games to win. I think that will be tougher to do against GB as they’re the healthier of the two defenses – but both offenses can put up big numbers and while they always seem to come through, our secondary is a liability that’s second only to our O-line.

That’s a toss up. Personally I think the secondary is the biggest Liability. To me they have been the weakest point this season. I know, I know they have a ton of take aways. But they have also been burned on way to many deep passes all year. A fair # of their INT’s have come on balls tipped at the line as well as some underthrown balls.

Meh, Green Bay’s offense doesn’t scare me too much, we matchup well against them. Top 5 run defense, and Love has not shown he can take a game over through the air this year. And the Packers haven’t played anyone near their best since Detroit week 9. I still think they are a solid squad but they have benefited from playing people at the right time and winning handily (as they should), whereas the Vikes have been playing healthier teams playing for something (except Chicago) and winning mostly close games.

Sorry FT I didn’t pick up the sarcasm there, SKOL!

The Packers are the most complete team we’ve played since our first loss to Detroit, IMO. I think it’s good that we’re playing our best ball and we’re playing them at home during a holiday week where a lot of people probably don’t have to work on Monday and will have all day to get tuned up before-hand. US Bank Stadium will be rockin’ but a lot of them will be wearing green and gold.

I like your optimism, Werm, but I don’t share it.

Vikings defense ranks rather poor on giving up yards to the pass, but they have given up only an average of 18.3 points per game, second only to the Chargers and ahead of the Eagles, Lions, and Packers.

Their only two losses were without Cashman having the green dot on his helmet. They are undefeated with him playing and keeping the schemes in check.

Cool seeing edge rusher and rookie Turner dropping back and getting a pick.

This Vikings team should not be confused with the team two years ago.

Entering week 15 the 2024 Vikings were 4th in the NFL in positive (99) point differential behind the Lions (183), Bills (129), and Eagles (108). For reference the Packers were 7th. Chiefs are not in the top 10.

Two years ago, they actually had a negative point differential. Because they won most games by 7 or less and their losses were blow-outs. It is why the team two years ago was always considered being more lucky than good. Their 1st round loss to the Giants kind of stamped that assumption.

Both Pace and Smith should be available next Sunday against the Packers.

They’ve moved it from a noon regional telecast to a national telecast at 3:25pm.
