How about those Detroit VIBES onside kicking with basically the whole 4th quarter left down 10. Bills might get to 60 yet now lol

I had to miss this game and only kept track of the score on my phone. But REALLY?? They did this? Obviously neither defense was stopping anything, but talk about a vote of no confidence by the coach.

I’ll have to watch the YouTube Highlight reel. but I assume I’m gonna need about a half-hour as it was almost a combined 100 points between the two teams.

I can’t say I agree with the playcall but I don’t care for the new onside kick rules this season. You have to declare it ahead of time, it has to be in the 4th quarter, and you can’t stack all or most of the players on one side of the field anymore either. The chances of recovery were small before, but now they’re nearly impossible. It completely removes the “surprise” element to onside kicks too.

The interactive kickoffs are kinda dumb too. They need to re-visit both of these in the off season and change them.

That onside kick with over 10 minutes left was absolutely ridiculous. I had just gotten home from the lake to see the final onside attempt as the announcers were talking about the previous onside kick. I made the assumption they must have had a successful attempt that allowed them to get to 42 and set up another attempt. He’s a players coach, no doubt about it, but he needs to take a breath every now and again and think rationally. If nothing else, it makes for great entertainment as a viewer.

Detroit could win the whole thing, or they could lose to anyone who doesn’t fold up shop in the first 2 quarters of the game. I don’t think Campbell trusts his injury-riddled defense whatsoever, and it’s obvious with some of his coaching decisions.

The Lions and Vikings both control their own destiny – although Minnesota has a more difficult path to win out over their last 4 games.

If the playoffs were to start today:

    (1)Lions – Bye
    (2)Eagles hosting (7)Commanders
    (3)Buccaneers hosting (6)Packers
    (4)Rams hosting (5)Vikings

***I don’t predict a lot of movement here. The Rams/Seahawks are still a coin toss to win the West with the Cardinals still alive too. The Eagles have the Commanders, Cowboys, and Giants left on the slate which should be a minimum of 2 wins. If they win out they could definitely be the 1. The Lions have the Bears, 49ers, and Vikings left which should be a minimum of 2 wins. The Vikings have Bears, Seahawks, Packers, Lions left. I see them dropping one of those 4 games and ulimately staying put at the 5 seed.

^If this holds true, it sets up nicely for the NFC North to potentially have 3 of the 4 final NFC teams heading into the divisional round

The Bucs must have the tie breaker with the Rams by virtue of better conference record at this point. They didn’t play each other this season.

Not sure who is the “easier” opponent on paper between those two.

mostly all on defense and they’ve shown they can outscore pretty much everyone (except the bills)

I keep expecting Goff to come back to earth, but the dude is just dialed in….

Next man up I guess but man you have to wonder about some of this remember when Sugarman was here at the end and there were TONS of injuries? Rumors were he was coerced to say they were good to go and then got further injuries. Some of these things are obviously not playing with a known issue but still…

Detroit might prove that offense sells tickets and defense wins championships.

In any event they are giving their fans an exciting season thus far.

Pretty much the worst play call I have ever seen in my life! Like, need another 7? Here ya go! doah Don’t give them the free 7 there, Lions win the game.

Even as a Vikings fan I’ve got to feel bad for Detroit. I hate to see a team have their season fall apart due to injuries. You would like to think 42 points should be good enough to win most games. Sadly that or more is likely what they will need to score each week from this point to give themself a chance with how banged up their Def. is.

They should have debuted the white flag jerseys for the playoffs when they usually give up

Does the game look as bad on TV as it sounds on the radio?

The Bears do their thing. They get down to the 1, score, and have the TD nullified via penalty because a player fail to report. Then they receive a holding penalty. Then they throw 3 incomplete passes and settle for a FG.

On the next drive, the Vikings go 70 yards and score a TD.

In a nutshell, this is why the Bears have lost 7 straight and fired their coach.

    It’s worse

The Bears have shot their own paws off 10 times and Darnold is lucky to not have 5 picks.

Wasn’t packers bears 20-19? With a blocked field goal for a win? Asking for a friend.
