Whatever happened to Addison whining about wanting out?

That was heresy because of his Free 3. People speculated he wanted out but that has been his slogan since college.

I thought it was more than that?- there was some widespread reporting early on that he was frustrated by lack of involvement in the game plan and lack of touches, etc. I think as Darnold has progressed its naturally led to more opportunities for him. Not as much force feeding JJ and letting JJ draw coverage, etc. With Hock out there, Addison is even more dangerous. Would be great to be able to keep all this talent, but he’s probably the biggest name outside of the QB that has a contract coming up.

People were saying that because he wasnt getting much for touches or targets, but I never heard him actually say it or come from any reputable source.

Addison shows alot of warning signs of a kid that could continue to make bad choices in life because he hasn’t YET been held responsible for his previous bad decisions the past few years… I hope i’m wrong because he sure is a talented football player… Hopefully he has the proper people around him to help him out as he matures and not take advantage of him… fingers crossed….

I think part of what was driving that frustration rumor for Addison was his dad. If I remember right his dad is pretty active on Twitter and posted a picture showing how open JA was on a play and saying something like “what’s it gonna take to get 3 the ball?” I really can’t stand when friends and family ride the coattails of the athlete in their circle and force their way into the limelight to get attention.

Complaining about NOT getting the ball is fine, show me a top WR who DOESN’T complain about that???and wasn’t there a 2-3 game stretch where he only had a few targets total?

I’m just worried about his off the field choices…

No real explanation of what it means that I have seen, just that he started using it in Fall camp in college.

Probably just some kind of inside joke referring to breaking free from coverage. Maybe I’m way off tho

The Vikings re-activated K Will Reichard from IR and release K Parker Romo.

Romo went 11 of 12 on FGs and 7 of 8 on PATs while filling in for the injured Reichard. Not bad for a back up kicker.

He’ll find a job before too long.

You called it. He signed with the Patriots. waytogo

I just got done watching that too Joe. Kirk stuck around forever after the game because he knew there were a lot of old friends that would want to say hi. We saw in recent years, he’s a locker room leader and his teammates really like him.

Dallas Turner came up a lot a few pages ago. Article in St. Paul paper on him today. He played good last game when on the field. Basics of the story is that Greenard and VanGinkel are playing lights out so Turner hasn’t seen the field as much. Turner might get more snaps this coming week as Pat Jones is on the injury report.

Much like the NBA you will soon see guys getting “rest” or “mental health” days off. Or they will just drop another bye week in the schedule and stretch the season out even further.

One thing you can be sure of…..the fans will be the last consideration in the equation.

I’ve heard before they could add an 18th game and add another bye week, then have the Super Bowl the day before president’s day so much of the country has the next day off.

And getting rid of more preseason games. This will be great, and I can’t wait. NFL regular season will 20 weeks long with 2 byes and 18 games.

The two byes would probably be a welcome add for players and coaches.

I could see them eliminating the third pre season game and adding another regular season game. Pre season has mostly become a joke. Most teams don’t even play their starters anymore at all (which I think is a massive mistake). They toss them right into the fire in week 1, which is why there’s so many penalties and injuries early on.

I think we can go ahead and elimiate the 49ers from the playoffs now. They were putridly bad last night. They punted 6 times just in the first half.

The Rams didn’t look particularly good either, but I think they could catch Seattle for the NFC West.

For you guys with season tickets do they force you to do the pre-season games?

Buffalo got complacent in the final two minutes. They screwed up two chances to put more pressure on the Lions. Now the Lions will be coming out of the half with momentum and only down 7 points. If the Lions D can make a stand coming out of half it will be nip and tuck.
