The Packers barely defeated the Bears last week too. Probably should have lost actually but blocked a FG to win.

Goes to show how much coaching matters for these young QB’s. Williams gets a new OC that calls plays suited for him and he looks pretty good.

I can see the skepticism. But 9-2 is 9-2 and certainly a heck of a lot better than anyone expected. I think their over/under win total was 5.5 this season.

Go back early in this thread. I was never in the camp of thinking this team was going to be 500 or worse. I expected a much better season even losing Cousins and the uncertainty of Darnold. I never predicted a super bowl but if team is healthy it’s a better record than last year almost automatically. Jefferson and cousins out most of the season last year killed them.

It’s the NFL a win is a win. Chiefs beat the Panthers by 3. Dallas beat Washington. Browns beat the Steelers. Titans beat the Texans.

Agree rip, let’s not forget this was the third road game in a row for them and went 3-0 regardless of the three teams they played. The Bears are the Bears and once again mistakes killed them. Williams looked pretty good but how do you take that sack in overtime.

Vikings control their destiny. Detroilet leads the division, but they still gotta rumble with us. Vikings are looking good, lots to work on as is almost always the case. Packers had a big stat today. First game all season jlove didn’t throw a pass to the opposing defense. 9ers are not who we thought they were. Purdy and Bosa out hurts a lot too. They’re out of the playoffs this year. Good news for the bears, they can jockey with the packers for the bottom of the division.

Vikings get the win. They need to stay healthy to have a chance. Advancing in the playoffs can then come down to which team stays healthy, which team keeps their identity in the play-offs, who gets hot at the right time.

Detroit and Philly are very good teams right now.

Eagles are on a 7-0 run. Last year they ended 1-6, but this year they have a pretty soft schedule to end the season with only Baltimore and Pittsburg posing any true threat.

Detroit’s powerhouse offense will be tough to contain if they stay healthy. Still, they will get a good test with the Vikings, Packers, and Bills still on their schedule. 49ers could pose a challenge if they are healthy and still have a chance to get into the play-offs near season’s end.

That is a good one, Werm. And for those of you calling my take earlier a “Homer” take. Well yeah… it is, and I am.

Detroit still plays the niners (on the road), packers (home), vikings (home), and bills (road).

I can’t imagine they will be losing more than 2 games this season given they already have one. They’ll probably finish 15-2.

I haven’t gone through the tiebreakers further down at this point beyond head to head or divisional record. The Lions currently hold both of those tie breakers, plus they’re a game ahead (obviously).

Hah! I’m not sure you can be a homer if you admit it.

We all have our teams. For me, it’s the Huskers. They were up by 24 on Saturday an I was convinced they were still gonna lose.

You can’t imagine they could lose 2 of those 4 games? It may not be likely, but it’s certainly possible. Especially with the 9ers game being game 17, when Detroit may rest (yeah right, not in Campbell’s DNA) and the 9ers maybe in a win and in situation. I could see the Lions dropping one of their 2 against the Bears too. With that said I don’t see the Vikings winning out either, Card/Falcons/Bears/Seahawks/Packers down the stretch, so still expect the Lions to win the division fairly easily.

But you want Daniel Jones to come and resurrect the franchise.

So I went through the tie breakers of record vs common opponents with the Vikings and Lions.

Right now the Lions also have that tie breaker because they beat the Rams and the Vikings did not.

In order for the Vikings to overtake Detroit atop the division, they are going to need to pass them strictly on record. I cannot come up with a scenario in which the Vikings overtake them based on tie breakers if they end up with the same record at the end of the season, if they both keep winning and the Vikings beat them in week 18.

I think records are pretty meaningless this year, other than for seeding. There seems to be quite a bit of parity. Even the Chiefs aren’t as good as their record…a .500 team or slightly above can give them trouble, like Denver. Carolina, a team well below .500, gave them a game.

What happens if we play kirko chains in the playoffs?

What happens if we play kirko chains in the playoffs?

Certainly a possibility. Falcons are leading that division over Tampa and Atlanta already beat the Bucs twice. So the Falcons have the inside track there, for now.

As for what would happen, we can only speculate. The Falcons play the Vikings in less than 2 weeks. Right now that game is slated for a noon start but it would not surprise me if they moved it to a better time slot solely because of the storyline.

Kirko has a 25% to 33% of getting the W at home. I favor the Vikes to win heavily, but Atlanta has real hope of pulling the upset. That is all things being equal to the current status quo.

As for the 49ers, I think they are done for this season. The grade for them to make the playoffs is too steep for that battered franchise to climb. It will be the Hawks or Cards out of the West this year. In the next month, the Vikes will get a shot at both of those teams. The Cards are dangerous and erratic. Murray could get himself injured on any play.

Man I’d guess you’re a packers fan based on the lack of reading comprehension. I never said anything close to that.

I just think its a terrible take is all. Besides it is rumored that the Vikings just may do that as apparently they are 1 of a few teams interested. So you just might get what you wanted and we could find out if it was a mistake or not.

He would be cheap insurance for JJ and Sam. Not the worst idea.

Jones just may be JJ’s backup in 2025.

Assume Sam Darnold salary will catapult him elsewhere in 2025.

I have no issue keeping Nick Mullens as the backup, regardless of who is the starter. He is cheap, he’s a veteran, and he’s capable of coming in and not losing a step with this offense.

The only issue is that he often gets too aggressive and tries to play “hero ball” which results in more interceptions. But he can clearly toss for 300-400 yards as demostrated in the past.

Well, unless you’re talking about top seed – that matters because it means a first round bye – which can be invaluable this time of year when basically everyone is playing a little hurt in some fashion.

    Next Steps for Rodgers Career:

    1. Unsolicited sexually explicit photo to someone 15 years younger than himself
    2. Sign with the Vikings
    3. Embezzle Millions from impoverished people

Would take Jones for next year for backup. Plus if what they say on KFan the team also picks up a draft pick which we do not have many of next year. Front office finding ways to keep finding ways to get more draft picks. If true to what they said this morning.

I heard that too, but I also heard someone question that because it seems to good to be true. I’m in that camp, seems to good to be true. You could pick up a fringe starting QB who’s won a playoff game to be your backup for a few months, then let him walk and get a 3rd round pick? Seems too good to be true. He cleared all teams on waivers so I’m guessing it’s not true.
