Atrocious. Fumble on the 2 and allow them to convert two long third downs on the drive. Van Ginkel could have easily stopped about 80 yards of that drive on his own and failed both times.

Yeah he could have which he’s done pretty much all season but I’d hardly pin that on him. Williams made a helluva play on that pass

Caleb Williams showed why he was the #1 pick. Wow, did he play outstanding in the first half? Uncle Sam was locked in as well.

Pretty happy to be up and receiving the ball at half. That first quarter was reminiscent of a vikings soldier field disaster of yesteryear:
    -fumble at the one
    -ivan pace injured
    -cam robinson injured
-missed holding in the end zone
-call phantom block in the back and ignore blatant hit out of bounds
-bears score first for the first time all season

    there up 14-7.

    It should be about 21-3.

Chicago is also self-inflicting some mistakes with bonehead penalties too.

Massive swing with that fumble on the punt followed by a TD though

A FG would have been nice instead of going on 4th down.

The game turned when KOC decides to go for it on 4th and 2 when up 14pts. Stupid call. Could’ve potentially pinned the bears inside the 10 rather than give it to them with momentum at mid-field. This team is FAR WORSE than their record.

That call alone could cost them this game. Jefferson is like triple covered and others are stepping up

agreed. He held the ball a few times too long but didn’t turn it over so that is good

Remember going into the season a lot of people thought the Bears would be good and the offense would bee solid with Allen, Moore, Odunze, and Kmet? That’s the Bears offense we saw today. Some very good receivers on that team. Thought Williams looked pretty good at times. One of his bigger flaws may come from his strength- he runs very well and therefore doesn’t seem to want to give up and throw the ball away.

Vikes 9-2 and lead the league in WTF.

Such a homer Vikings fan take. They could’ve caved when Chicago had all the momentum but didn’t. They righted the ship and got a win.

Any division win on the road is a good one. They still control their destiny for the division.

No, because Detroit only has 1 loss and the tie breaker, so it would require them to slip up somewhere.

We still play them…if we beat them we both have 2 losses and a head to head loss. You might still be right but it would come down to whatever the next tie breaker is. I’m not sure what that is. Probably overall division record?

And that could happen yet. Still have what, 4 games with the Bears in Our den for the final game.

Agreed. Vikes don’t feel like a 9-2 team…too much of the “a win, is a win” excuse being thrown around. Bears were begging the Vikings to run away with this game with all the self-inflicted errors and two weeks ago let Jacksonville hang around. Win versus Titans was earned.

The way most people were talking to start the season we’d be lucky to have 4 wins all year.

    Tie breakers are:

    head to head
    divisional record
    common opponents record
    conference record

Beyond that it gets pretty thick and I don’t have the will power to tackle it lol

Detroit currently has the top two tie breakers against the Vikings. If they both win until week 18, and the Vikings beat them, they would be tied head to head and also have the same divisional record. So it would have to go further down the list.

Yup to the whine line. 4th down call was stupid though.

Well, according to some on here we’re the worst 9-2 team ever assembled so it’s probably not even worth thinking about.

I can see the skepticism. But 9-2 is 9-2 and certainly a heck of a lot better than anyone expected. I think their over/under win total was 5.5 this season.

I’d rather be aggressive and try to win the game rather than hoping and praying and relying on the defense like Zimmer used to. And the results show.

The Packers barely defeated the Bears last week too. Probably should have lost actually but blocked a FG to win.
