Darnold still looking like himself. Think the first few weeks were the darnold smoke and mirrors show. Every throw 3 yards in front or behind.

Mullens time. The Darnold party is over. We all knew he sucked and he’s proving it

Ass whooping time. Looks like the 2nd half adjustment came after 1 quarter. And no big lead.

So O’ Connell is calling a good game? Or is the fault all on Darnold? I get baseball and football coaches mixed up.

The defense is getting shredded in the 2nd quarter too. All that pressure in the first quarter on Goff dried up.

Ok, we got punched in the mouth in the 2nd quarter, what changes does KOC make at half and how do the players respond….

Goff on fire in the 1st half. After the Vikes put up a quick 10, they got completely dominated. Will they be able to turn things around in the 2nd Half?

Tiller I take it your a coach and butt hurt. You defend rocco to. Never said boo about Oconell and I like him but do honestly think Darnold has made 1 pass that any real quarterback could and should in 2 weeks.

Turnover would be big. Right now they are -1 in turnover margin today and KOC has never lost a game when they are even or ahead in that stat.

maybe put the bottle down at half time. Darnold has made some unreal passes all season. Ones cousins would never do. The 90 plus yarder to Jefferson for example. The one td to jetts at gb

Well that went about as I expected. A good game, down to the last play with Detroit winning the contest. How we can’t play for one stupid first down on that key second-to-last possession and just own our victory is maddening. You don’t give an offense like Detroit the ball if you can help it in that situation. Just Ridiculous.

Barring another substantial injury, Detroit is going to the super bowl. Calling it right now.

Great game, both teams had a quarter they’d like to forget… rematch week 18

Goff played great, got real lucky with all of his fumbles being easy to recover…

Questionable 3rd down play with Addison and Jefferson being right next to each other on similar routes… oh well…

That 3rd down call was a head scratcher. Good game otherwise. Lions are a good team.

Better drop at least a grand on a bet in Vegas or internet sports book.

Vikings had the ball with 4 minutes or so to go. They did own their own destiny …

they executed on 2/3 of those plays, kudos to the Lions on stopping the 3rd…

I’d like Sam to try and scramble for the 1st vs trying to force a pass, keeps the clock running at least…

How about our rookie kicker though! The kid has icewater in his veins…

Lions are great, even when short-staffed. Vikes are too, but we need a little adversity to light a fire under our as*es and figure out what’s really wrong. We can only go up from here. Or at least we should… darnold made some mistakes but also did his thing as the ring-leader. Best looking Vikings overall that I’ve seen in a long time. Work out the kinks and we’ll be doing well. This was definitely a good game and a clash of titans.

How about our kicker? For once we have a great kicker and that helps a lot.

The Vikes really could have used Hock in this one. I don’t think the Vikings brought their A-game on Offense with all those penalties. The Lions team brought their A-game on both sides of the ball and won in a squeaker thanks in no small part due to Dan Campbell foolishly rolling the dice on that fake punt. What a knucklehead call.

Both teams played well. It was a battle. It’s too bad only one team can win.

Great game to watch, close and a last second win is what most anticipated.

    My Random Takeaways:

    – Dan Campbell is almost to the point where he’s predictably unpredictable. I get the gambles as an underdog, but this team has a chance to win now. Don’t pi$$ it away.

    – The Vikings would really benefit from a large bodied receiver to show up mentally without dumb penalties, capable of blocking and just boxing guys out on routes to the sticks. JJ is one of the best WRs, but Nailor and Addison are just not gritty blockers on the edge with Addison also having dumb procedural penalties. An Allen Lazard type would really fit this offense. Maybe Hock coming back when flexed in space will help.

    – The Biggest key down the stretch is going to be the Vikings health. They have one of the “healthiest” rosters in football (once Hockenson is back). If they maintain that they can easily make the NFC Championship in a fairly wide open NFC.

    – The Lions are a good team and have a chance to represent the NFC in the SB IF they stay healthy. I really think they should add a piece up front on the DL before the deadline. I understand not mortgaging your future, but any pro bowl level guy plugged in and they’d be complete at all levels.

Hats off to both teams today. What a great football game. Strength vs strength and it came down to the team with the last possession. The Vikes fans got to see what the team will look like playing from behind and they had no quit. This is going to be a fun couple of months coming up.

Can Goff maintain his current level of play the rest of the way? I doubt it, he is red-hot right now. He will probably get dinged up some as the season wears on. They don’t play us again until the final game of the season. A lot of football between then and now.

You’re comical. Never coached a single game. I’m ok if the Twins fire Rocco, I honestly don’t like him. What I find humorous is your 20/20 hindsight is more like you’re the smartest man in the world….. in your own mind.
