Cousins orchstrated a 94 yard drive and a game winning TD pass last night in hostile territory with under 2 minutes remaining to secure a 1 point win against the Eagles.

    You like that? – Kirk

The opening line for the Texans-Vikings game on Sunday favors Houston by 2.5 points.

not sure if you guys caught it, but after the game when the players were at center field congratulating each other, Brock Perdy made an effort to seek out Brian Flores and told him “Your Scheme was crazy man!”

That’s pretty damn cool by Perdy and ultimate respect for Flores…You know every defensive coordinator will do what they can to copy that scheme from now on against the 49ers…

Ya that was the best part. Couldn’t have happened to a better fan base.

Atlanta was likely starting at an 0-3 start had they lost because next week they play the Chiefs.

I’m happy for Kirko, seems like a really nice guy with lots of talent. Always happy to see filthadelphia lose.

I was happy for Kirko mainly because he helped my fantasy team with the Drake London TD pass.

But let’s be real. The Eagles self destructed and went into a “prevent” defense and let them march down the field. Kirk took advantage, but the story is much more about the Eagles implosion vs Kirk the hero IMO.

I watched the 4th quarter. If Barkley would have caught the pass – game over.

For a team that takes risks the Philly D went even more prevent than the Vikings did on Sunday. The safeties stood so far back and Cousins had no pressure on him – it was pretty easy for Kirk.

Great interview with KOC by Paul Allen today on KFAN. He talked about the open doors in the stadium, he talked about the PLAY (all aspects), he talked about Nailor and a few other Vikings play at the top of their game right now.

Always easier to give a good interview after a big win. Should be out there on pod cast.

Zach Halvorson on KFAN had one of the best lines I’ve heard in a long time this morning when he said “has the prevent D ever prevented anything?”

Agreed, the Philly defense fall off has been crazy to watch. They made and lost the Super Bowl in 2022/23 with a great defense, added 2 first round picks (Jalen Carter and Nolan Smith) from an all-time Georgia defense and have fallen off a cliff since then. Mediocre last year, and not looking great this year.

Addison, Turner, and Pace Jr are all listed as OUT on Sunday. Jefferson is in, as he does not have an injury designation.

These Vikings are unreal. Top tier contenders for the whole shebang IMO.

Very fun to watch on both sides of the ball. Refreshing!

This was a big test and we took care of business. We were expected to lose the first 9 games. Big one coming up and sounds like love will be back.

Went to the game today. Had not been there since 2019. Awesome game day experience and a dominant victory.

This team continues to surprise me… Defense is legit and the offense is consistently putting drives together and getting TD’s without their WR2 and top Tight End…

It did feel like we got all of the breaks today (finally) including a donk 58 yard field goal…

BFlo is who I thought he would be when he came here. We are lucky to have this guy on our staff. Perfect compliment to KOC. And a good thing he is likely black-listed by the owners so he will probably not get another head coaching gig. If the D plays like this which is not sustainable, the offense can just concentrate on not making mistakes. I had a feeling they might surprise some this year. Darnold is definitely surprising some including me

There’s 0 incentive to race JJ back. Get him fixed, rehabbing, and back to practice. The situation isn’t at all as drastic as people are making it out to be. I really don’t think the “plan” was for him to start any games in the first 10-12 weeks of the season, if at all.

I’ve already went on record saying this, but I think Darnold will shock some people. He’s got an arm, and has never been put in a spot to succeed. He now has weapons and an improving defense. Most importantly, he’s playing for a contract elsewhere the following year, which alone often really drives professional athletes to great seasons.

    Bump from August 13th

Skol Vikes! They look legit. I was anticipating a .500 season with some bumpy QB play. Darnold and KOC together is working out beautifully. BFlo’s defense is humming. Fun team to watch. Kicker looks good too

As long as the defense keeps getting after the QB, and getting elite play out of Cashman and the Safeties they will play with anyone. Doing what they did to SF and Houston’s vaunted offenses is very impressive! Still some weaknesses at CB that will be exposed periodically, but Bynum/Smith/Metellus have been doing a great job covering that up so far. Offense has been a pleasant surprise too, and should only get better once Addison and Hockenson get back in the mix.

The Vikes D is on a roll and we have a running game with solid pass pro and a more mobile QB when protection breaks down. Both teams should be up for the Division match-up. Ball security needs to be top of mind for both teams. The Vikes D has been ball-hawking with several near misses for turnovers the past couple of weeks.
