Brutal loss last night even though they were shorthanded. Wolves had been playing pretty well.

The trade of Luka is certainly interesting and very surprising. We’ll have to see how this impacts the western conference. I think it helps the lakers but they still aren’t a contender. It’s a head scratcher for Dallas.

He’s missed 92 games (and counting) through less than 7 seasons. He’s a constant conditioning concern and hasn’t shown the commitment to get himself into even average NBA shape at any point in his career. Luka also is almost guaranteed to be a defensive liability on the floor for his entire career given the sample size so far. He had another supermax extension coming and it seems like Dallas isn’t ready to go down that road with Doncic. Anthony Davis just had a 43 point, 20+ rebound game about a week ago and has been the Lakers best player.

The mavs were in the finals last year and added Klay Thompson. I agree that he’s a conditioning concern but he played pretty good defense in the playoffs and is one of the only players in the league that can always get their own shot or a foul. I’m just surprised they didn’t try and make one more run.

It’s a bet on the future for both teams but I’d bet on Luka. Regardless, it’ll be interesting to see play out.

    The band is back together!

14 games left but the West is just a bloodbath as expected. I think they can get the 3 seed. Time to buckle up!

Randle has looked MUCH better. I still wouldn’t trust him handling the ball in the clutch though. And he’s best in small doses. I think Finch has figured out how to make due and the rest of the boys have finally been clicking too. What a frustrating year but hoping they saved their best for last.

The west is pretty interesting right now. I think any team is beatable. The wolves just need to get into the top 6. With how easy the schedule is the rest of the way they should be able to do it.

And at the same time, Memphis, Houston, and especially Golden State just will not lose. The Wolves have won 7 straight and haven’t even moved up in the standings at all. They put themselves in a hole with some really bad losses earlier.

Wolves have gained 3 games on the Grizz, LA and Denver over the last week or so. LA has played 4 fewer games and has a tough schedule coming up. If they can’t gain on GS, they will overtake the other 3 if they keep playing well and those others teams keep slipping. I expect tie breakers to play a factor down the stretch.

At least GS lost, too. I agree it was a bad loss though.

Dont know the guy on the Pacers that hit the game winning 3 but man the last few minutes of regulation and OT his 3’s were all dropping.

I just remember him (Obi Toppin) from a March Madness run at Dayton.

If anyone wants to bet on the TWolves winning it all, I will take the field. waytogo chased toast

His team 3rd in the east averaging 24 13 and 3. On pace for career high in rebounds.

    KAT: 60 games played, 24.2ppg, 13rbpg, 3.1 assists (60 games played)

    Randle: 57 games played, 18.7ppg, 7.1rbpg, 4.7 assists (57 games played)

Kat is definitely a better “player” overall. Both have missed some games due to injury but Randle more. The biggest difference between the two is their efficency. Using the “PER” or Player Efficency Rating, KAT ranks 9th in the entire NBA while Randle doesn’t even crack the top 50.

Just an embarrassing loss tonight at home against the Pelicans. Thankfully I changed the channel after I saw Randle throw a pass 6 rows up in the stands. Didn’t really want to watch another choke job.

They will lose to them again next time they play in a few days. Everytime they play a team that has 1 good guy, that one guy always kills them.

This is a great story…hard not to root for a team that treats its players like this.

Great response by the Wolves tonight after getting mopped around by the Pistons on their home court. DiVincenzo showed heart and fired up the boys. The brawl and the ejections were exactly what they needed and big comeback effort for the W!

The trade was to relieve the financial burden of Towns contract while acquiring one of the best team friendly contracts in Donte. JR was in to make the money work and I would take a Dog over a Kat any day. Randle’s toughness will be needed if they want to make a run.

Knicks will get bounced early in the East. Soft doesn’t get you far in the playoffs.

They are pros, they shouldn’t need a stupid brawl to get motivated. I thought that whole ordeal was pretty pathetic.

Heck of a W last night.

My stupid dish crapped out from the snow. Tried watching on my phone but that gave me a headache so I quit watching after the like 17-2 Denver run to start 4th quarter. Was surprised to see the score this morning.
