The kid shot a big doe tonight. He said it kicked after the first shot and kept waking. So he kept shooting, lol.

Dave tell the boy good job. He’s feeding the family.

I spent the day tending to the sicklings in the house hold. Now I’m off to work for the night. Not feeling great my self. Almost thinking it’s time to wrap up my season. But we will see. Mn was a success, not so much wi. I passed on many deer I look back on and thing I should have sent a arrow flying.

Boy got a dam good first buck ever Friday evening, shooting his great grandfathers .257 Roberts. One shot behind the shoulder. Went a little further than I thought he would go but went down. I sat this stand for 4 days opening weekend. He sat with me for 2 hours. Otter tail county. 9 points 190lbs dressed.

I had high hopes yesterday morning, but I think the full moon had them on a different schedule. Didn’t see anything, and a neighbor that has cams out said everything was from 11-4 pm during the day or overnight for the last 4-5 days.

Found an overlooked area in the metro. Im maybe 100 yards from the road and found really fresh tracks, poop and a nice rub line. Pretty nice pinch point too.

Hey, get off my lawn. Lol just kidding buddy. Good luck. I’m getting a little ancy for tree time. It’s been about a week and I need some solo tree type therapy.

Here’s a nice one that was running the edge of a swamp last night around 4 o’clock, not mine unfortunately.

Working on it, got some prospects still out there. I did put a wounded 6 pointer out of it’s misery back on page 19 during gun opener, that was party tagged, so I’m still after it.

Good on you to stop the suffering for that one, good luck on getting something bigger or whatever your heart desires.

No deer seen sadly. Never heard so many yotes in my life tearing down last night. Made it nice to get to the truck.

Just got setup in an area where a couple small ridges meet a swamp. Already seeing deer after being setup for 10 mins. Tough thing is with how thick it is I only have a shot at two trails.

That looks wide open compared to where I hunt LOL. Good luck if they’re moving this early that’s hopefully a good sign.

How do you like that black gold sight ? And which one is it.

To my right is where all the thick brush is. Im honestly not sure which model it is. I would rather have a dovetail type in my V3x though. Holds zero super well and stays lit tell after close so no reason to switch yet.

I just sold both my dialed sights and was going to order the new prüf but I’m now leaning towards the hha tetra max ryz x3, or the black gold pro hunter hd 3 pin horizontal slider. Black gold pins are about as good as they get. Saves me money over going prüf as well. The dove tail is the way to go if you have a mathews.

Still got a week left before gun season in Iowa. Took a chunk doe today with my bow. Hitting Thanksgiving hard, looks like it’s gonna get cold in the Hawkeye state next weekend, highs in teens and twenties, single digit lows. Gonna have to get the Vexilar on the charger soon.

Here is a good one from SD. Had him on Trail camera this summer and had him as one of the hit listers. Fun to connect with him
