It happens Randy. Glad you found it and got closure. I’ll come take care of that 9 for you.
Back with the rifle this morning. I’ve seen two bucks already including a real nice 8 that was rubbing on a power pole and made a scrape at the base.
DTdeertrackerPosts: 9253November 14, 2024 at 7:22 am #2299102Look up from typing and a third buck was going through. On the move after the rain yesterday.
DTdeertrackerPosts: 9253November 14, 2024 at 7:30 am #2299104Quite the show this morning. Seen 5 bucks now. The bigger 8 and two small 8s are all chasing a doe. The bigger one had her cornered, but then she took off and they all went running. Then a 7 came through licking his lips.

DTSounds like a heckuva fun morning! You’re killing me though as I sit in the office.

Connected on my biggest bow deer last night! I also connected with my antlerless tag a minute later. It was a hectic few minutes!Dude, that is one of the most “classically” handsome typical bucks I’ve ever seen.

DT, you’ll have better odds playing the lottery. I’m thinking about giving up the rifle and bow and just sit with the video cameras
November 14, 2024 at 2:42 pm #2299233Have seen 5 antlerless and a fork buck today. Stunning day out, absolutely no wind.
deertrackerPosts: 9253November 14, 2024 at 3:49 pm #2299244Last sit for me in NW MN. Trying to fill a antlerless tag. I’ve had a couple fawns out for almost an hour now.
Heading home in the morning and will hunt the farm over the weekend.

November 14, 2024 at 5:10 pm #2299255Pretty bleak here in 169 and 197. Been at it since opener. Seen 8 deer, 7 in the dark driving. Talked to a local today… says plenty of wolves.
He said wolves took down a deer 20 yards from the front door of the bigfork school, and the school is passing it off on German sheperds!

Aren’t those called does?
Just given you a hard time!
November 15, 2024 at 6:42 am #2299313Cant see crap this morning. Extremely foggy. No wind whatsoever.

tswobodaPosts: 8721November 15, 2024 at 6:49 am #2299318My 4th morning of rifle and every morning but opener has been the same fog, mist, rain with hardly no wind
tswobodaPosts: 8721November 15, 2024 at 6:37 pm #2299472Super foggy until about 9:30am. At 10:15 I just happened to look back and saw a sizable buck bounding through the timber/brush about 100 yards behind me. I could tell it was at least an 8 pointer. No chance to get the gun up or shoot, and it was gone to the neighbors land to the east. About 15 seconds later, I heard one lone shot over there.
Not sure if I’m gonna go tomorrow or not. I’ve seen 52 deer including 16 bucks in 6.5 days of hunting which is a tremendous season for me.
November 16, 2024 at 8:35 am #2299546Windy morning in Iowa. SE wind which is not ideal for my stands. Lone doe, a button buck, and then a young 9 just came by at 20 yards. Was at full draw before deciding not to shoot. I love the November days after the 10th and close to the 20th!
CaptainMuskyPosts: 23371November 16, 2024 at 8:56 am #2299551Lots of shooting around me this morning. 3 shots straight to the south where that giant was hanging out with 4 does for days. Hope they got it my buddy typically hunts there the second weekend so fingers crossed!
November 16, 2024 at 4:07 pm #2299584I’m sitting on the ground in an area where we saw a couple last night walking out. Where I first sat down didn’t like as sight to the west was not great. Decided to make a little move and as I got up and look to the west a nice 8 and doe staring at me! Off they went. This was about 10 minutes ago. Barely anybody out now.
November 16, 2024 at 4:22 pm #2299585I went up to try and take a doe, didn’t have any movement last evening, but then a bunch this morning and late morning. Let a yearling walk, think it was a nubbin buck. Had another doe get the drop on me putting my phone away lol. Get all loaded up to leave, driving out and a doe comes running right by where I was sitting and crosses the road to the neighbors. Stood at 40 yards broadside lol.
November 16, 2024 at 5:16 pm #2299587I boated across to wisco this morning and had another fun sit. Didn’t see any big ones but lots of small bucks and 8 doe. The full moon allowed 0 head lamps to get in. And I did find the highway to venison land.
I sat all day be got a emergency call to come home at 345. Mama and baby have the pukes. So dad to the rescueAttachments:
CaptainMuskyPosts: 23371November 16, 2024 at 7:07 pm #2299601hope the family is ok BC!!
Agreed! That stinks when momma and baby are both sick.
November 16, 2024 at 8:00 pm #2299621Thanks guys. Nothing fun in my house tonight. Glad I was able to enjoy the first half the day swaying in a tree with the gale force winds. Was hoping to sneak out in the am but I’m guessing I’ll be tending to my ladies
CaptainMuskyPosts: 23371November 16, 2024 at 8:04 pm #2299622You are a good man BC! Both of those girls will love you forever if you need to stay home. It’s dang windy out now. Could be worse I guess it’s not that cold.
November 17, 2024 at 11:15 am #2299655Couple small bucks this morning and some yearlings. No ring today after yesterdays 30 mph gusts.
November 17, 2024 at 3:03 pm #2299681BC, those are the things good dads do. Hopefully mother nature rewards you!
