It’s on FDSN+ tonight. Direct tv doesn’t have their guide correct and I panicked for a couple mins
February 8, 2025 at 7:16 pm #2316205That was a really nice saucer pass from Boldy for the Rossi goal.

You weren’t the only one! I was about to throw the remote!

Joe where are we at with the new Rossi contract? It keeps getting more spendy the longer you wait!

[/quote]good for Marco at this point, its either the Rossi camp wanting to wait or GMBG doesn’t want to extend him long term and he’ll maybe look at a 2 year bridge deal and gamble or trade him this summer (maybe Cozens if he’s still available?)
February 8, 2025 at 7:39 pm #2316213Another patented Boldy 1 timer flub on the powerplay …
We can’t score with 4 forwards on the ice. Run our normal lines or decline the power plays. So frustrating. Only slightly kidding here.
We’re screwed in the playoffs again if we make them. Teams will do the same thing they have the last few years – take penalties, beat us up in the process, rinse repeat. Its getting old.
February 8, 2025 at 8:14 pm #2316216The former Minnesotans are showcasing tonight. Nelson, Lee, and Perunovich.

I was just going to say he has really been on the score sheet in the wrong way lol
February 8, 2025 at 9:17 pm #2316224What didn’t Nashville like with Hinistroza?
Holy cow, what an upgrade over Hartman.

I like what I see from him

He buried that shot!
February 8, 2025 at 9:39 pm #2316229That was a really good effort by the Wild. I love the exclamation point of ramming an empty netter up Roy’s early goalie pulling backside. Stick it Roy.

Posts: 2657February 8, 2025 at 9:50 pm #2316230Lapanta with the comment of the year, well they are looking for scoring from the blue line. That was a cold hearted dagger.
Gus sticking with it after giving up 3 is great to see.
3rd and 4th line really contributing. Liked the line combos.
Finally a couple good efforts on home ice.
Brodin and Spurgeon are so good together.
February 8, 2025 at 11:00 pm #2316234I’m not loving the idea of Ek sitting out the last game with an injury and then heading off to play in this 4 nations thing. Hmmm. What could go wrong?
February 9, 2025 at 12:03 pm #2316288I fell asleep in the recliner when they were down 3-1. Then I woke up half an hour later and they were ahead 5-3.
February 9, 2025 at 1:19 pm #2316300Can the Wild find a way to make a deadline move that will substantially improve the team?
Last night was a great look at what a player like Brock Nelson could do for the team IF BG can figure out any way to make it happen.
Can the math work to keep KK on Vegas-style LTIR until the playoffs so we can game the salary cap? The gamble being can we make it into the playoffs without KK?
I feel like the Wild need one more offensive weapon or it’s going to be R1 exit all over again. If we ever make the playoffs at all. Hartman, JoNo, we’ve just got too many underperformers who were supposed to be scoring and we’re leaning hard on defensive players scoring.
BG said it. The goal is not to win the first round.

Posts: 12409February 9, 2025 at 2:59 pm #2316312Doubtful. But talked to some guys in the know last night. Who all but said Brock Nelson is locked into signing in the off season. Obviously plans can change by then.

no chance Kirill stays on LTIR until the playoffs, but GMBG has options if he wants to free up capspace to afford Nelson at the deadline but its going to cost him significant assets…

Locked into signing with which team?

That’d be a great signing. Hopefully it doesn’t come the summer after another first round exit.
February 9, 2025 at 7:23 pm #2316369Given the outrage Foligno’s deal got, How are we going to feel about paying 34 year old Brock Nelson the likely $7+aav over 4 years?

Posts: 12409February 9, 2025 at 7:27 pm #2316370Don’t assume a contract number. Not sure why you keep comparing the 2 to except on age. But if I were over paying for 1 it’s no question it’s Nelson.

you think he’s not getting a big raise over the $6aav he signed BEFORE HIS 30 goal seasons? Then add the cap increases and this is his last multi-year contract opportunity, he’s going to demand more term than he’s worth and some team will give it because he’s a UFA and they always end up getting overpaid…
