But trade him to whom? He’s playing like a 3rd or 4th line guy. I guess if you count the fact that he could also play center he might be worth something, but not what he’s currently getting paid.

Man you talk about paying for past performance. It will be interesting to see if there’s any attempt to deal him.

we might need to include a draft pick sweetener, but $4aav for 2 years for a utility player with a 30 goal season under his belt isn’t that bad, especially with the cap going up… we just need to find a taker not on his 15 team no trade list….

We could also buy him out for a $1.1 cap hit for 4 years…not ideal, but its another lever to pull…

Scott Wheeler’s Annual NHL Team prospect ranking is slowly getting released each day and the Wild are in the Top 5 again for 2025. Its down to the Wild, Blackhawks, RedWings, San Jose and Montreal…

My guess is the Wild will be ranked #2 just behind Montreal or possibly #1 if Scott graduates Slofkovsky and Hutson as full time NHLers…

Buium and Jiricek additions and Stramel’s comeback season will boost the Wild bigtime in this years ranking…

Stramel is having a really good season and Michigan State is a vastly improved team this year.

Wild traded Sammy Walker to Utah for a round of beers next time the Wild play Utah (future considerations)

Really all this does is open up a contract slot for any trade deadline players we might get and also keeps spots open for Buium and Yurov if the timing works out….

Rememember when Sammy was the second coming and no way we should send him back to Iowa.

They were terrible for years too. Like dead last in the Big Ten since it started.

Their resurgence began 2 seasons ago and has progressively been gaining traction. Many of their players are from the portal. And they may have the best goalie in the country too.

Safe to say the NHL is sick of Hartman’s sh!t. He got away with stuff sussy free for a long long time but it’s all come back on him big time the last couple seasons. Can’t say he doesn’t deserve it

my guess is this suspension (and his shoddy play since signing his deal) is the last straw and will force GMBG to get rid of him this offseason…

Yowzer I guess I didn’t see ten games but he was in the dog house with the coaching staff before this. Can’t imagine this helps. Kind of mess up their cap situation as well so im sure BG is not happy as well.

10 games seems harsh, but he probably deserves it in the end. Maybe that will be a wakeup call.

It really messes up the team because he must remain on the active roster for the whole suspension (so its as-if he’s sitting in the press box) and they were already scraping by just to put a full roster on the ice…The only thing saving him this season is his NMC…GMBG could also go the waivers route and see if somebody picks him up (unlikely) or they could try to come up with an agreement to mutually terminate his contract like the Blues did with Saad and he becomes a UFA and signs a cheap pro-rated 1 year deal with a contender (that would be best case scenario)

nah, the same thing has been said his last 2-3 suspensions…that’s the type of player he is and always will be…Middleton summed him up perfectly in one of his past TNT post game interviews, “Hartzy’s skating around being a POS”

Jeez overreact much. He can’t be waived with a NMC and they’re not terminating his contract. They’re already in LTIR with Kirill out, they should be able to call up whoever they want.

Lot of season left, let’s see how this plays out. Hartman is one of the few Wild players who actually shows up for the playoffs.

You are correct, i’m only a few sips into my morning coffee… that being said and corrected, i’m tired of Hartman, I think Billy is too…when he becomes movable, he’s gone…
