All of the sudden I don’t feel as bad about not being able to watch it. I probably would have changed the channel pretty soon anyways based on the result.

Upon further review, I remembered we got the kids Disney Plus for Christmas, which gets you Hulu, which gets you espn plus

I was unaware of that. When they arent on Directv I just give up. Hate all that other crap but gives me an option.

Twins are offering the full season streaming package for $99 or you can pay $20 per month, ZERO blackouts…How awesome would that be for the Wild next season…

Elliot Friedmann reporting the Avs are trading Mikko Rantanen to the Hurricanes reportedly for Necas & Drury. Chicago also involved trading Taylor Hall to the Canes and retaining 1/2 of Rantanen’s salary…

I guess Rantanen didn’t want to sign an extension with the Avs..

The Wild have to be happy that Rantanen is now out of their Division/Conference!
It also sets up a trade value framework for young superstar pending UFAs in a year or so… do we know of any?

Good riddance from the central division. Rantanen is so good, Avs are so dumb to let him go. Seriously can’t belive they did that

I just looked up his stats this season. He is 6th in the league with 64 points.

I’m also perplexed why they wouldn’t keep him. ???

Only logical explanation is he told the Avs he wasn’t going to sign an extension…He was in the perfect career situation playing with MacKinnon, just goes to show ya, if somebody wants out, they get out…

Frank Seravelli says he was told by an ironclad source that an ever BIGGER trade has been brewing the past few days!!!

Crosby to Avs? Miller + others traded from Vancouver??? Gotta think the Avs would be very interested in Brock Nelson if the Crosby scenario has no steam…

Yes, Crosby would love to stay in Pittsburgh, but he’s best friends with MacKinnon and he’s one of the most competitive players in the league and wants to win… I think there’s more of a chance he gets moved than most think…

So the Avs weren’t willing to give Rantanen $14 million a season so he forced them to trade him, but the penny pinching Canes will? Huh?

What were the Blackhawks even doing in this trade?

Will be interesting to see what that does to the Av’s this season and in the future.

absolutely no idea…. Take on $4.5 million and trade away Hall for a 3rd?!?

What was your favorite Bedard to Rantanen memory?

depends in what they do with Necas next season… but there’s zero chance they’ll be better off. It sounds like the Avs didn’t want to pay Rantanen more than MacKinnon’s aav as he’s their best player… well wtf are they going to do in a few years when Makar demands $13+ after taking that team friendly deal last contract? With the cap expected to jump so much in the next few years there will be tons of players making more than MacKinnon’s aav…

The Wild has a year to figure out the Kaprizov extension or it will be us forced to make a similar move next season…. I’m sure Kirill’s agent doesn’t mind having a current example of what can happen if we dont hit Kirill’s asking price (which we would)

Charlie Stramel torched the Gophers last night with a goal & assist and he went 21/25 on faceoffs…

I give that kid full props for doing a 180 on his career this season, I need to eat some crow for ripping on him even though his sophomore season deserved all the criticism it got…

Before that rally at the end I was going to say this game has all the feels of a “Closed Locker room players Only meeting” afterwards…

Lots of wtf were they thinking moments on defense this game that directly lead to goals… Flower for the first time played like a 40 year old on a farewell tour, Boldy is stuck in another one of his head in the clouds streaks…

Thankfully they have a get well game tomorrow against the Hawks….

Two really bad games after getting their best player back. Weird.

And now for your game summary. Horseshit penalty kill. Defensive gong show. 347 blind passes into the slot resulted in turnovers. And finally way too much attempting to pass the puck into the back of the net.

    What a cluster.

Slightly different IMO. KK is the only player on the team of that caliber right now. Similar to NFL
QB situation right now it’s about when you sign vs what you sign for.
If you give KK the bank currently I don’t think they have a player that will resign for more anytime soon.

Am I the only one that notices every time Spurgeon comes back from an injury that the team falls apart? I am not pinning this on him in the least, but defensively as a whole this team has been terrible the last two games with him in there.
I looked at the records of other teams in the division over the last 10 and it seems ALL of them are in a funk with the lone exception being the Preds who were just above 500 the rest were pretty much 500.

I agree they are 2 teams in slightly different roster situations when the Avs had 3 league superstars the Wild only one and I mention the Wild are going to give Kirill what he wants if its all about $$, my comment was mostly about who knows what can happen (who thought Rantanen was going to get traded) and the Wild will be in this position this time next year if nothing gets done over the summer…

I’m having a hard time buying the Avs excuse that they traded Rantanen because they didn’t want to pay him $14aav, that makes ZERO sense for a HOF player in his prime and with a league salary cap that’s about to explode, even with MacKinnon at $12.5 and Makar’s next deal likely in the $12-$13 range… You DON’T trade HOF players over a few million dollars…

Should Bedard be sent down since he is literally the worst faceoff guy in the league? Asking for a friend…

They just showed his +/- stats since entering the league. He is -65. That is astonishingly terrible. He is out there for a heck of a lot of opponent goals.

He absolutely is Gim. Heckuva player but only knows one end of the ice and I guess the hawks are terrible too.

He’s gonna need a LOT of good seasons to dig out of that hole. That’s insane for 1.5 seasons
