I’m either entirely missing what a lot of you are getting at or I’m the only one who saw them beat Dallas on the road the day after Christmas without KK. Faber with a sweet wraparound goal in OT.

    yep, forgot about that one…

I haven’t seen any slow feet by Jiricek yet, he’s an offensive gambler for sure though…

Ooof, those next 2 road games could be rough… my guess is they keep all the hurt guys home and hope most are ready by the Oilers game in 6 days…

GusBus needs a reset and he isn’t going to get one anytime soon…

much better choice! Lots of Ls to be shared on that one. Jiricek actually looked decent but our D is decimated right now

The Wild played really well for 2 periods, it was bad 2 mistakes (bad D line change and Chisholm’s gift) that put them in the hole they couldn’t shovel out of…they had their chances… I thought David Jiricek played really well in what i’m sure was a nervous game for him (his between period interview showed that) but he’s a river boat gambler for sure and will likely need to be paired with a stay at home defenseman moving forward to help counter his offensive instincts. It would have been nice to see him unload a few shots from the point on the PP, but divine intervention got in the way (the stray stick on the ice that got in the way of his 1 timer)

Gus sure looked like a goalie who lacked confidence last night…He’ll need to spit games with Flower this weekend, my guess is he’ll get the Sharks game and they sacrifice Flower hoping he’ll have a revenge game against the leagues best Golden Knights…

I know Wild fans that will be saying the game last night is a sign that the end is neigh. Realistically, we have 3 of our 4 best defensive players out with injuries. I wasn’t at all surprised last night was a gong show against a team like Colorado that had a stupid loss the night before and was now playing a team that they absolutely want to catch.

A lot of lessons learned last night.

    They can win without KK.

    They can win without Middleton.

    They can win without Spurgeon.

But they can’t win with both Faber and Brodin out. Go figure.

Was a good slice of humble pie for the whole team. Thought Boldy had a good game, but he still needs to shoot more and be consistently more aggressive. The Chisholm goof up was pure exhaustion after a good pk kill. Not going to rip him to hard on that one. He knows how dumb that one was and don’t see him doing it again. Thought for his first game in a wild sweater that Jiricek did pretty well. He definitely was nervous. His willingness and instincts offensively look good for his first game. Can’t wait to see him once he gets more comfortable and with a good blueline mate. Gus wasn’t great but the team left him hung out to dry. The Av’s will punish you for that and did.

Not much for moral victories but the first two periods between some bad puck luck around their net and a major defensive goof up, thought they did pretty d@m good keeping up with them with the fab four missing. Then the wheels came off and the d@m broke.

Told the wife and one of our kids this felt like it was going to be a 6/1 game at the start. Through the first two thought we had a slight chance and I was way off with the prediction.

All the points they’ve banked sure is nice to have those going through a tough stretch or two. This team has played way better than anyone thought, especially with all the injuries. Rolling through all the different injuries “might” be a good thing come playoff time. They sure have fought through a lot of them and know they probably aren’t a cup contender, but been an interesting season so far. Here’s hoping they can get healthy towards the playoffs. But with the way this season has gone am not expecting it.

Chisholm just fanned on the pass. Not where he wanted it to go at all but that happens. He has played pretty decent overall but thrown into the fire last night with all the injuries and was absolutely gassed on that shift for sure.

As much as a narrative Joe tries to make up. The wild have done just fine against the Avs.just not great in O.T. However we are started out with a lead in the early days of the wild. LOL

we need to break this losing streak to the top Central teams tonight!

The Wild now need to break the huge 0 for streak against the Avs, Stars and Jets…if anything just to close the narrative

I dunno. Seems like a pretty real and legit losing streak to me. I literally couldn’t remember the last time we beat the Avs so I had to look it up also.

Just got out of the Jets Avs game. Great game and great atmosphere. Highly recommend going to one if you’re ever in Winnipeg. It’s a quick up and back from my house so hope to get back for a playoff game or two sometime.

Top line back to form, Jiricek with another solid game (he’s way more physical than I thought, couple of monster hits) and where’s the “Flower is too old” guys at?

We needed those 2 points with Vegas tonight..

How about Patrick Laine, 14 games played, 9 goals ALL by the Power Play… Ovi with an empty netter last night for his 20th…

Good lord this is the most frustrating 1-1 tie game ever sofar… so many dumb mistakes by Wild players who normally wouldn’t be in these positions but are forced to now due to injuries…

Our 4th line is so frustrating to watch (outside of Marat who’s playing well, gotta remember he’s still just a rookie) the 2 wings do nothing and kill any pace Marat tries to play with, one of them getting a tripping penalty 200’ from your net is inexcusable as well… Lauko’s return can’t come soon enough..

Wild has an opportunity to steal another 2 points tonight… nice to see GusBus get his game back…
