There’s just no way we can stay this high in the standings all year with these special teams. It’s laughable now.

Playoff teams are going to beat the crap out of us just like the last few years if we can’t score on the pp. Although our pp did look better tonight, it was against a worse than mediocre pk team… and we still didn’t do anything.

Winnipeg has gotta be pumped to be playing us in Winnipeg on a back to back tomorrow.

I agree. I think they are a playoff team already but whether they can stay high enough in the division to hang with Dallas, Winnipeg, or Colorado seems shaky at best.

There’s still a lot of season left though too. So it’s not time to pack it in.

The good news is that the Blackhawks are on the schedule Monday. smash

Another PK fail with yet ANOTHER goal surrendered less than 20 seconds into the kill. Could the PK suck any worse?

It was almost 2 PP goals surrendered in less than 5 seconds after clean lost face-offs, thankfully the McBain goal was overturned for goalie interference… The coaches at least tried different player combo’s on the PK vs rolling the same groups out, it worked on the first 2 PK’s, no so much on the rest of them…

Well nothing to see last night. Same old same old from the 1 goal wonder kids.

Another PK fail with yet ANOTHER goal surrendered less than 20 seconds into the kill. Could the PK suck any worse?

    Hartman. Useless. Absolutely useless.

Faber was the only thing good about last night. He was on the bench yelling at the guys the whole night trying to make something happen.

And finally the cute no look passing us driving me crazy.

    Ug

Wth is wrong with Hartman, he looks like he’s got his tighty whities all crusty and severally bunched up.

Boldy, my word he has perfected the art of doing nothing meaningful for long stretches.

The dumb no look passes to nobody has bugged me forever. Fun to watch when it works. Unbearable when it doesn’t, which is far to often.

Spurgeon is still small. He absolutely has proven his worth on pp1, he’s earned the failure of that not being his anymore. Put Faber on the pp1.

The 2nd, 3rd and 4th lines are darn near worthless.

Man do we need Ek and Middleton back. They are like the big brothers of this team.

Been a fun year and didn’t expect them to be as good as they’ve been. To even make a 1st round competitive in the playoffs they’ll have to be healthy and firing on all cylinders. The lack of any other line generating any points is brutal. The bottom lines have to start making some sort of impacts. The penalties through the skid shows how this team has to win. Five on five, with as few penalties as possible. With how bad the specialty teams are, and have been, it’s like having a burst frozen pipe for years. Arses need chewing and is unacceptable for as defensively and goalie talented as this team can be and is.

If Boldy gets one stupid penalty in the offensive zone tonight he needs a serious arse chewing and be demoted to the 3rd line.

    Cough…cough…Faceoff…cough

What a f’ing lazy stupid penalty by Merrill… Heinz needs to have some type of punishment for laziness like that…

and the Merrill only gets 6 seconds to think about it in the box before they score…

Jesus… when Kirill is guilty of a lazy backcheck that directly leads to a goal you know were #%€$ed…

Making this game worse is listening to Walz banter on and on…

LOL I was just about to post how lazy the defense was there. I think Winnipeg had a 2 on 4 and one of their 2 beat our 4 to that loose puck for the goal.

    Simplify the game.

Shoot the puck, get dirty in front of the net.

They are expending to much energy passing the puck around the edges and then after a long shift with a lot of pressure and no good opportunities are exhausted after a long shift and getting torched.

Way to much chasing the play and the puck, gripping the stick to tight and thinking to d@m much.

The lack of scoring is getting to the whole team. It’s all in their heads. Simplify and dumb the game down.

14 seconds, how is that possible?

    Oh yeah, face-offs aren’t important.

    Time for a holiday break.
Need to get back to playing strong D and good goaltending. 3 key pieces which they are missing on that front.

For the record nobody said faceoffs are not important.

I can’t watch any more of this crap. The 4th line is terrible. All the stupid penalties and now 2 more. Wake me up when Ek is back and this 4th line never plays and someone named other than kaprizov or zuccarelli has a shot on goal.

Jesper must be thinking why he always gets called up to play when the team is a slumping gongshow…
