Its a good thing this game isn’t locally televised, Basseyes would be gloating bigtime with how bad a game Boldy is having….

Watching the game. Jojo looking pretty good playing with KK and Rossi. Nice goal by Who-dee-nets-dah-cough. Boldy is young and will have an off night once in a while, and that’s OK.

Boldy with the shootout winner! Rossi is cold blooded with the puck on his stick late in the game…

I love how this team doesn’t quit! Even when Gus Bus has an off night they find a way to win. They sure are fun to watch!

Wish I would have seen it. Just got too late for me.

Hopefully that gets him going. He has had a rough start. Fairly good defensively, but otherwise I think he may be one of the worst analytically in the NHL. At least Russo said that, but I dont know if he was joking or not LOL.

    He’s learning a new role (4th liner)
He’s been a top line player his entire hockey career, it takes some time. I think he’s played ALOT better the past 5-7 games, the offense will come, he has the bag of tools to work with. I think he started this season playing safe just to keep his roster spot, he’s getting more comfortable by the game…
Lauko’s return was pretty evident, he ups the speed game on the 4th line…

Russo mentioned Brodin and Zuccy are getting closer as they both have begun regular skating practices, no mention of Ek skating yet which obviously pushes his return out farther…

I’m now convinced Marco Rossi gets extended 5-6 years at around $6-7 million aav in the next 1-2 months (Anton Lundell’s extension as the comp). I just think GMBG has now seen enough and knows what he has with Marco. The 5-6 year term keeps him in line for his next big UFA contract before he turns 30 years old…They can always move Yurov back to wing when he gets here and that AAV allows them to easily trade Marco in the future if Yurov truly is a top 6 center of the future…

Well, in our weekly calls I’ve been telling Billy Gee Wiz that Rossi is a winner and to resign him since the end of last season. So it’s about time he caught on. Billy’s a good kid but he’s slow as molasses. Probably too many pucks to the head in pee wees.

All I can say is Billy Gee had better be thanking his lucky stars that he didn’t trade either Gus or Marco. If he had the only thing the team would be winning this year is the ass clown of the year GM award.

Holy crap could Merrell get exposed any worse on the PK? I don’t know what the confusion was out there with Merrell pointing everywhere and then ending up 25 ft out of position not once but twice, but something was wrong. Is he hobbled by some kind of injury or something?

It wasn’t pretty on the PK but at least we’re back on track with a win.

All of the Rossi trade rumors have come from Russo and the Media (the fact is that Marco is the only tradable asset so of course his name is going to be discussed, same with Gusbus) so to say GMBG WANTED to trade Marco is hearsay…

Merrill looked really bad last night, tons of turnovers and his spacing on Keller’s 2nd ppg was just brutal, i’m sure the coaches gave him an earful when he got back to the bench…The other elephant in the room is that Bogosian’s overall metrics have been terrible all season… so scoring depth help and the 3rd D pair is likely what GMBG addresses at the deadline…

The whole team looks off lately. Seems like they are struggling to find good chemistry and everything is hurky jerky.

Like the line switch up, Jojo with KK and Rossi worked last night.

Boldy had a great goal in the shoot out and blocked out the rest of his game. He’s young, he’s talented, he’s young, he’s talented and got the shoot out goal. When Boldy looks for and finds open ice he is way better than when he doesn’t.

Thought the defense as a whole was terrible last night. Merrell has been playing pretty well all season, but his old habits came roaring back last night. Bogo is typically a simple player, when he doesn’t dumb his game down him and Merrell both can look brutally bad.

The urine and vinegar Rossi has in him is really fun to watch. He does not back down and is a spark plug that once he starts rolling is fun to watch.

Really odd to see Jojo fighting in front of the net. Have a feeling Jojo might be seeing more minutes with KK and Rossi. Without Ek and Zuccy, moving pieces around to find the right combos for each night is going to be interesting to watch. So different than Dean’O’s coaching style.

How they won that game last night is beyond me. Gus wasn’t at his best. The defense sucked. Lots of shots but no real scoring chances in the first. That was a gutsy win fighting through some bad breakdowns.

Missing 3 top guys and 1 regular will do that…getting Lauko back last night helped, but I think you’re just seeing guys getting a little tired out having to carry more weight that usual…This long homestand will help recoup mind & body as will eventually getting guys back from injury…

Yeah grinding it out right now and still getting wins. All teams go through it just a matter of when.

I think he was more or less making a joke of how gopher hockey fans would leave the game early to beat the traffic not all that long ago.

Prioritize hockey over all else…. what’s the harm of losing a little sleep when you have a potential cup winning season on-going. Also traffic beaters bug me, was insinuating going to bed early is similar. All about Priorities…. a few minutes in traffic to acknowledge a good effort or needing an extra cup of coffee the next day, its worth it….

Russo reporting that Brodin and Zuccy are BOTH flying around on the ice at practice today! No return timeline update given, but that’s a great sign….

Nope. Not gonna prioritize hockey over my kids or getting healthy. I’ve been trying to get over a nasty cold and that game was on the west coast.

But hey if it makes you feel better, you can be the superior “hockey fan” jester

Really good news for Brodin. Kind of knew Zuccy would be back at some point just didn’t know how long it takes for that region to heal. Don’t really want to find out either. rotflol

It is, but its probably a house of cards keeping whatever back issue/pain he has at bay…gotta think they will be way overly cautious bringing him back as its probably a 1 and done if he gets hurt again…

I see Jiricek played for the first time for Iowa. Didn’t have a huge impact but good to see him on the ice.

yeah, I think he got 1 practice/morning skate in with the team before playing a game…he lit up the AHL for Columbus’s affiliate, so I expect him to play well in Iowa…it will be interesting to see who gets called up if we need an injury replacement on Defense…

In reality he is probably just ripping all of us die hard fans that didnt finish the game but find a way to have 54 pages of posts before Christmas.

I’m slightly upset the game is on espn plus again. I missed Tuesday’s game because it was on that too. Dumb

Who is your cell provider? If Verizon you get it free along with appletv, paramount+ and a few more I think.
