Prime has some exclusive games and their own production crew in Canada this season – similar to Thursday Night Football. There was also a recent agreement with Diamond Sports (Bally/FanDuel) that in market games will eventually be available on Amazon Prime… for an additional cost

This would be a welcome change in my book. Depending on what the “additional cost” is of course. I pay $20 a month for Fanduel and I’m fine with that even with the annoyance of the games like last night that are on ESPN. I have had Prime for years and have streamed countless movies and I cannot recall having one single streaming issue.

2016 World Cup Team North America was a riot to watch, I mean just look at this roster. Here’s what a 2025 Team North American could look like. Probably not as good at Forward (2016 the biggest names were all 18 and 19), way better on defense, and goalies are WOOF.

We’ve been starved of true World Hockey….
The 4 Nations Cup USA vs Canada games will be likely be the largest TV audience ever to watch hockey games…Canada will likely completely shut down…

I absolutely can’t wait…just sucks that Russia won’t be a part of it…I think their team could win it with their Wings and Goalies, best not put them on the Powerplay…my god…they are just so lacking at Center which could put Danila Yurov on the team, Defense is light as well with their top young D too young to be effective…its hilarious to think of the goalies that won’t make their team….

    Kaprizov – Malkin – Kucherov
    Panarin – Kuznetsov – Ovi
    Svechnikov – Nichuskin – Mitchkov
    Kuzmenko – Yurov – Terasenko

    Sergachev – Proverov
Carolina’s KHL stud prospect – Orlov
    Zadorov – Mintyukov

    Shesterkin
    Vasilevsky
    Bobrovski

LOL. The only time I had an issue streaming I later determined I wasnt the only one and it was limited to diretv stream which is what I have. Everyone else was good. Man that was frustrating.

ESPN+ can kiss my @ss. I’m not buying a second subscription to watch one team.

Also this has to be one of the dumbest things the NHL has ever done. And there are quite a few to choose from so that’s saying something.

So you’ve got these regional sports networks that are teetering constantly on the edge of bankruptcy and insolvency. Hey, Gary has a great idea. Let’s pull games and revenue away from the regional sports networks and give them to some other network. That will really urine off both fans and advertisers.

Now on to last night’s game.

I’m still not loving the power play. Guys? When? When are we going to start scoring on the power play?

Nice to see Hartman get one last night, just what we need. Boldy is just unreal out there as well.

I’m also loving the empty netters. There’s nothing worse for a team when they know that if they pull the goaltender there’s a very high probability the wild will make them pay.

In the next three games we’ve got both the Oilers and Winnipeg. I think these are huge games. Win these games and the team knows they can do it. Last night on the pregame they mentioned the fact that nobody’s talking about the wild because everybody’s talking about winnipeg. These are the kind of teams that we’re going to have to beat to go on a deep run and losses to these teams are just going to sow all kinds of seeds of doubt. If the wild can win especially against Winnipeg I just think it’s a huge psychological edge.

What cellphone provider do you have? If you have verizon you likely have an untapped freebie you could capitalize on. We do and it comes with Paramount+ and Disney+ FREE. Disney+ includes ESPN+ but you still have to use the ESPN app to watch it. Worth checking into.

You’d get ESPN+ to watch ALL teams (but not your own unless it’s Nationally televised) you can get VPN and then watch local Wild games too..

Yes it sucks, but it’s a relatively new sports streaming world we live in, I THINK there will be some clarity starting next season on just needing 1 solution to watch games, at least that’s what i’m hoping for…I want it to go away from Cable TV…

The NHL Single Season record for Empty net goals is shared by Ovi and Pavel Bure with 9, Kaprizov has 5 through 18 games…

I just knew that when the Blues pulled the goalie it was only a few more seconds and Kaprizov would be back out there.

Lol just now seeing this since I don’t have espn plus and when there’s no game for me to watch, I avoid this thread at times.

Prime is terrible. Always has been. Its not my connection speed either. I actually completely dropped amazon prime last month anyways because I saw it just as a reason for my wife to buy stuff online with free shipping. So sports on prime is a moot point now here.

Don’t get me wrong here, I like watching hockey. Pro, college, state HS. But there comes a point in which paying for it (and other sports) isn’t justifyable anymore.

Still sticking with regular TV here for the time being. I refuse to cave into the multiple streaming platforms to watch the sports I wanna watch. Someone said that it would cost you 830 bucks this season to watch all the NFL games because of the various streaming platforms that have exclusive broadcasting rights. shock

I already can watch any team with my Uzzu subscription. Unless of course it’s one of the games that’s on ESPN+.

So I can either get ESPN plus and watch every team except my own, or I can get Uzzu and watch every team including my own as long as it’s not one of the few that are on ESPN+.

Explain to me again how this whole ESPN plus thing makes sense.

Don’t forget the Jamaicans. In off Olympic years the bob sledders play hockey. Asfaic without the Russians it’s a watered down tourney. Skip it and keep the regular season rolling.

According to Foligno, Zuccarello remains fully…erm…intact after a high speed collision with Faber’s twisted wrister caused a–this is painful to even type–testicular rupture. Yikes.

Apparently, Zuccarello’s cup is heading for the body shop to–again this is painful–have a large dent removed.

Marcus Foligno said (via Bring Me the News):

“We thought he was gonna lose one nut, but it actually survived, and he’s got them both still. Poor guy got hit where the sun don’t shine, and it ruptured his testicle. He can’t even lift anything.

“It was hilarious,” Foligno said of the dented nut cup. “It’s funny after, now that he’s OK.”

3-4 weeks was the original timeline put out, but from reading Cleveland clinic’s website on the surgery, it can be multiple months…depends on severity and the person’s healing abilities…

Let’s just hope our season’s success comes down to a Zuccy blocked shot…

Derrin Dreger reported on TSN today that he was told Ovi’s injury is NOT knee related and that the reported week to week status is still in effect. Ovi supposedly met with doctors again recently and their should be an official update possibly later today… so that’s good…

Eriksson Ek came back from that injury in like 4 days. He only lasted 4 seconds when he came back, but just sayin

So that’s 12 – 18 games; the most he’s missed in a season was 11 in the covid 2021 season. Let’s call it 15 games missed, that leaves 49 more games this season for him to score 27 goals and still break it this season – still very possible

This is Ovi we’re talking about (yes a 39 year old Ovi)
The reason he’s missed so few games over 19 seasons is because he’s a quick healer & tough as nails, my guess is he’ll be back earlier than later… I’m just glad it wasn’t his knee… the odds of him wanting to do a long MCL/ACL rehab at 40 likely aren’t good…

12-18 games missed sucks, but it could have been alot worse

Kaprizov did the heavy lifting but boldy finished for sure. Now they just smoked a post. If we can just reign in moose so he doesn’t go offsides all the time on goals we’d be in business. Seems like him and Hartman have it happen frequently.
