Here’s one that I think is flying under the radar. The Wild are tied for fewest penalty minutes against in the league. 41 minutes given so far. That’s making it really tough on teams that heavily lean on power plays. The wild just aren’t giving them anything to work with. IMO that’s been a major factor. The Wild are making teams have to beat them five on five and as long as the goal scoring on our end holds up that’s a really difficult proposition.

That goon Faber leads the team in majors.

It would have been nice last night to see some PP scoring especially on those five on threes.

not for the lack of scoring attempts though, on the 5-3’s it seemed like Kirill and Zuccy were trying to setup their back of the net stuff play a few times or they were all trying to get the puck to Kirill down near the goal line for his 1 timer (where he’s been scoring lately) the bad thing about that is the goalies/PK coaches have those plays pretty well scouted now, so the goalie was just waiting for Kirill’s shot up against the post… it would be nice if guys like Boldy and Zuccy would shoot more to change things up, keep the D guessing… hard to complain with anything right now…

The biggest issue for this team right now is to wait and see if Spurgeon plays the next few games or if his body relapses again…

Some Zeev Buium clips from the first few games of the Denver season… this kid is going to be so fun to watch in a Wild jersey starting this April… Sofar he’s been completely snakebitten scoring goals, but its certainly not for a lack of chances…7 Assists in 6 games ain’t bad right? )

The crazy part is he’s still only 18 years old, doesn’t turn 19 until December 7th…he’s so young he’ll likely hit a growth spurt still, his 2 year older brother is 6’4″…

Given the caliber of players he’s currently playing with, he’ll probably end up with close to 35-40 assists this season. Denver probably won’t lose more than a handful of games all season. I looked at their schedule. Could easily see them hanging banner #11.

Kirill gets frothy when there’s an empty net, its actually quite funny to watch, dude isn’t passing or coming off the ice…

Rossi finding a random puck behind the net and tucking it in quick is goal of the year material for me

Nice game overall, especially after the 1st

Nice win! Some good saves by Gus early to keep us in the game.

I wish they’d keep a camera on his face the whole time when the net is empty. His excitement is priceless. He gets that little kid look like he just found out he gets to go to Dairy Queen after the game.

Kirill has to be top 5 in scoring isn’t he? He’s on a tear 8 multi point games in a row. many of them being 3 pt nights.

He’s #1, and in less games than anyone close to him. Contact year bump?? Hopefully

With how he’s playing 0s keep getting added to the right… I’m very happy with Rossi on that line he is not holding them back and is just a dog in the puck perfect compliment to those two I think.

WTF were the @ss clown officials doing NOT finding the puck after it went into the netting on a previous play? This has to be a defined responsibility where the same official secures the out of play puck every time? Somebody effed up.

Nice Wild win. I love the fact that any team that pulls the goalie, pays the price.

KK is a freaking setup weapon like we’ve never had before. That pass to Ek when everybody in the civilized world thought he was going to shoot was just solid gold.

Jake Middleton, offensive weapon. Has a nice ring to it. Anyone else want to see Middleton as a forward for a couple of shifts?

I wonder if the puck got stuck and a fan was able to hit the net flipping the puck on the ice either way should have never happened.

If the Wild did that to Suter, he’d get away with it and the Wild player would get called for roughing.

Suter could be called for cross checking or slashing chased multiple times per game. One of the biggest hacks in the NHL!!

I love how he was looking at the ref begging for a call when he got shoved before Mathews crushed him.

If boldy was half as strong on the puck as KK or even Rossi he would be an elite player. Coughs up the puck way too easy.

Feels like Jojo has slipped into another of his typical 7 game disappearing trick…
