So now there is another 5 year plan and we are year 2? Oh boy…

Ol’ Leo doesn’t sound to confident in resigning KK. At that point do we start another 5 year plan?

So what plan are we on now. A? B? C? Maybe H??

I can’t wait to hear about #ThePlan for the next 5 years sorry forgot we’re already on year 2.

To be fair, I’ve only ever heard of 1 plan, the issue was always when does it start? We now know it was last year and Craig Leopold is 100% on board with it…

Did that align with GMBG’s first draft picks hitting the NHL? Not sure what else it could be if it wasn’t year 1 of the buyouts?

When you project out 4 years and look at our current 27 years old or under core, its kind of the perfect storm of guys being in the beginning and back end of their prime hockey windows mixed in with an even younger set of prospects on cheap prospects (like Buium)

Well cap is going up likely by about 5 mil next year. Will go up every year after that too we will see and by that time we will have tons of cap space so I’m not worried. We just better make the right moves and win.

TNT/TBS is so much better/polished than ESPN in their hockey production & promoting the game its a joke!

Is anyone here using this site to watch games? https://thetvapp.to/ I have watched some games and other things on this. You can watch free which has some buffering but they say if you subscribe it connects you to their private server which eliminates the buffering. Not sure how they are getting away streaming all the live sports and PPV.

    Anyone a subscriber?

Interesting night of NHL hockey…looks like some of the contenders didn’t get the memo that the season started…

Doesn’t work with smaller boxes. Just dumped mine and will stream from main service.

    Thanks

    What a crock of $hit…

Joe I’m with you and cant wait to ditch comcast! The past couple days I logged into my account to upgrade my TV package and it would never upgrade. Today I called in and had to keep on saying let me talk to a real person to finally get past the automated menu. Turned out to be worth it because what the person quoted me over the phone was cheaper than what was online.

I’m looking forward to the season and if they can stay healthy I think they will be competitive. Really hope KK doesnt start off slow like has in the past.

    Gus Bus in net.

yep, and Chisholm is sick so they had to send Wally to Iowa and callup Hunt… That had to pi$$ Wally off I bet, but he needs to get used to it the first half of this season…Maybe that’s why they extended him so early, $4.4 million reasons to deal with all the Iowa to St Paul trips…… )

No talk/arguments about Marco Rossi being the 1C? I’m disappointed in you guys…

Marco is right where he’s supposed to be (until Hynes gets jumpy with the lines, probably the 2nd period)

Nope. It’s out of my control, so I don’t care. Haynes could put Gobert at 1C and I would feel the same way.

We will see how long he sticks at 1C. He works his butt off so if they produce it will be hard to remove him from there.

I sure hope our $13+ million dollar 3rd line can play better than this??

Other lines playing well, Kirill has had a couple of loose shifts, but Rossi has been feeding him the puck in scoring areas…

GusBus and the posts have kept us in this game when it should be about 4-2 Columbus at least…

Secondary scoring? Are you aware who scored the goals and got points? The same guys who got them all the last 3+ years. Just because 97 isn’t on the ice doesn’t make it secondary scoring

They looked a bit rusty most of the game but glad they pulled it off.
Gus Bus looked pretty good. We will need him to play like that all season!

Safe bet the Bluejackets are a bottom 5 team, and they played em straight up. Oh well still a game 1 W

I agree, they are bad. Let’s not start a cup parade just yet here.

you know I’m speaking from a line standpoint, 1st line had more than enough chances to bury several goals, didn’t get it done… 2nd line did…

of course we need the 3rd and 4th lines to chip in here & there… I can see the 4th line generating chances and getting goals with their speed, the 3rd line last night looked bad other than a few shifts in the 3rd period…

It wasnt a pretty game at all, but a W is a W. Ek and Boldy heck even JoJo looked serviceable last night.

Not good would be my assessment of game 1. Huge gaps given to CBJs throughout the game, they had all the space and time in the world. They were constantly finding trailing players up the middle that were completely uncovered on zone entries. I think Columbus hit every pipe twice at least. Yikes.

On the positive side JoJo looks like he came ready to play. Sadly we can’t say the same for Hartman. Realistically is he even a fourth line guy?

But I saved the worst for last.

The penalty kill is just a disaster. Again. It’s an unholy bleep scramble every time. That’s the worst takeaway out of game one, the PK…it’s just bloody awful. Any team that’s in the top half of power play production is just going to destroy us.

I don’t know. We’ve got a GM that got his chosen guy in the coaching seat, and now we look even worse than we did last season.

yeah, the PK was dreadful and surprisingly Ryan Carter ripped it apart on the telecast last night…I will say this was probably the first game the PK pairs played together not defending a Blackhawks PP that funneled EVERYTHING through Bedard, so they saw a different approach, especially on line rushes. It’s also nice it didn’t cost them the win and now the coaches have tons of tape showing all the mistakes they made and how to fix them…My worry is that alot of the mistakes were made by guys who should know better (like Ek, Trenin, Spurgeon, Faber)

    PP looked great though!

Boldy being that locked in after playing 0 preseason games bolds well for him hitting new levels this season…
