Boldy and KK97 just are not allowing anyone to stop them. Has that second KK goal been changed to be Hartman’s? I dont think KK even touched it and was off a defender. I think KK even pointed at Hartman like that was your goal when it happened and not the traditional nice pass or whatever you see.

I thought it went off Kirill’s stomach area? Hartman stealing a peek at the scoreboard clock before throwing it on net was pretty cool…

If you watch the replay on the NHL website it hits KK97 right in the Wild logo on his jersey. .5 Seconds to go. Great awareness by Hartman to get it to the net!

Yeah it probably did. I thought it went off the defender, but everything happens so fast in real time and when its slowed down the image is never as good. Either way fantastic awareness from Hartman to get it toward the net and let something happen!

It worked for Rossi so yeah Nyquist is garbage and needs to quit

Seriously though, I don’t think Ek has a point yet this series right? But his presence alone out there is what is helping Kaprizov and boldy do what they are doing.

Anyone see a replay of the boldy no icing goal? Did the Vegas defender ever touch it along the bench there? We got lucky with that one too.

The camera view was blocked by the ref so you can’t see, but I’m pretty positive he never touched it. The puck took a funny bounce as it went past so I can see how the linesman on the other side of the ice thought he got a piece of it. Cassidy was hot after that – he’s been hot most of the series. Nice to be on the other side of that for once.

In his postgame interview Cassidy pointed out the “blown” icing call, but he was also quick to say you move on from it.

Some good clips here of Buium

That’s a good & accurate take, I noticed Zeev try a couple of the jump cuts and power turn moves at the blueline he routinely did in college and got away with get blown up by Vegas this series and its quite obvious he needs to get heavier and stronger as he’s getting pushed around alot, but the point the writer made around elite players quickly learning how to adapt their game to the situation is spot on…

The in-zone defense clip (the very last portion of it) is the play that drove me nuts last night and I figured might have been Zeev’s last shift of the game if Hynes gave him the hook…it’s mostly just unfamiliarity playing with Bogo, but he has to get back to the net front faster… that’s likely just an old college habit he could always get away with, not in the NHL…

His first few games have looked like he’s testing the NHL to see what he can/can’t get away with, the nice thing is that I really haven’t seen him make the same mistake twice..live & learn and he’s absolutely gotten better with each passing game…

IceNEyes1986: “So we just gotta get 3 goals in the first, hold the lead in the second, then shutdown the 3rd!

BigWerm: “Mark Grace solved this riddle, he needs a slump buster. Nordeast at bar close should get him right.”

Some absolutely brilliant ideas from the great hockey minds of IDO here. Does anyone have John Hynes’s number? Maybe just send him a link to the thread

John Hynes confirmed great hockey mind of IDO lurker. Great work getting the message through to him fellas applause

He’s just covering for his Defenseman who’ve all been turnover machines all series and likely starting to inner-monologue “WTF is he doing” about each other on the bench…The first 10 minutes of game 4 will be everything, Wild need to figure out how to break the game 4 loss streak…

Of course Rossi gets one after a little IDO ribbing. Never doubted him!

Great win last night. KK97 is unbelievable. Boldy is dominating. Hartman has been excellent. Top 4 D has been excellent. GusBus has been excellent.

This team might just go on a run!

we knew this was coming for Wallstedt this season, obviously next year is a huge one for him…I really hope he gets a legit shot to be the backup next season so we can see what he looks like away from the biblically bad Iowa Wild defense…he’s also had an insanely unlucky injury list this season, hopefully he gets his body right before training camp…

Slow down a bit here, we’re up 1 game and have won two in a row. If it’s 2-2 after tomorrow this thread will be all doom and gloom and back to rebuild mode.

They are performing way better than I ever thought they would at this point. Buium is no where near NHL ready. At least Merril can play some defense, not good defense, but some defense. Buium is a turnover machine and a liability almost every shift. Get him out of there and let him develop next year. I think the Wild had dreams of a Faber x2

He’s played 3 playoff games and 2 practices in the NHL sofar…I haven’t seen a Buium bad play that has directly led to a goal, its been more Bogo and other players not doing their jobs and then Zeev is stuck in front of the net for 3 goals against…Like any 19 year old he played his first few games nervous and tentative, I thought he looked alot better in game 3, but still making some mistakes like all rookies do…There will ALWAYS be a bit of Riverboat Gambler to Zeev’s game, just like you see with offensive players like Boldy & Kirill, you live with the mistakes because the great plays vastly outnumber them… and there’s a reason Merrill has been a fringe 3rd pair defenseman his entire career…

IF Hynes and Staff didn’t think he was more effective than Merrill, they would have swapped him out by now… Who knows, maybe that happens for game 4 and they sit Zeev so Merrill can keep the rust off his game just incase he’s needed in the future as an injury replacement, Hynes has hinted to this before. Hynes definitely has his finger on the teams pulse and will make the right call, we’ll find out tomorrow morning…

He is NOT the same type of player as Faber. Buium has big offensive upside. Faber has some, but nowhere near what they project Buium to be. He has been that guy at every level. Brock is a shut down guy who does skate well, but he NEVER even played on the power play in College and found himself there now. Mainly because he skates well and his shot somehow sneaks through all the time. Buium is way more dynamic. I wont use some of the comparables some “experts” have said because it isnt fair to him, but watching tape other than NHL stuff so far, it is possible.

I’m sure he will turn out to be a good offensive defenseman at some point. I didn’t mean Faber like as to style, more so to walk in and perform well. He hasn’t done that IMO. He has gotten lucky on several of his turnovers that haven’t directly turned into a goal against yet. My point again is he isn’t ready. Can’t we hear again about the Russian that is coming to push us to the finals this year?

He probably isnt ready. No one even himself would admit that. Its a risk/reward type of thing. Is there enough risk having him out there that its a liability? Is there enough reward that COULD happen offensively that would offset the risk? Remains to be seen.
I dont hate playing him. He’s 19 for crying out loud. I think Merrill hasnt really done anything to warrant benching in favor of him. I think its obvious that Bogo’s game has suffered a bit with him, but honestly he hasnt been superb for a while in my eyes, but its even less so now. Last night I think they both were better.
Id be supportive of Merrill going back in, but maybe there are other nagging things people are dealing with we dont know about that seems to happen at this time of year.

Never heard of fragging so I looked it up. I found a photo of Wilson, lol.

Defininition. Fragging is the deliberate or attempted killing of a soldier, usually a superior, by a fellow soldier

That game isn’t in OT but it’s every bit of doing cocaine and riding a motorcycle out of a helicopter. Absolutely nuts
