I kind of had a feeling it would play out this way if all were healthy. As soon as they lost to Calgary I thought oh boy people are going to be pissed when Zeev doesn’t play against Anaheim.

Like it or not, I would assume this is the playoff game 1 lineup.
I wouldn’t rule out Buium taking Merrill’s spot if they like what they see in the 3 full practices they’ll get before the payoffs start…
I kinda like needing to win tonight. If they have any chance at some momentum going into the playoffs then this is it.
Would be funny if the Wild game goes to OT and they start Merrill, Trenin, and Brazeau. Pop Flower in net for a 5 minute finale and shootout, if he wants it. Realistically should do that if the game makes it there.
If the Blues don’t beat a hot Utah team in Regulation, Calgary could win out and bump them. Vegas is resting pretty much everyone tonight in Calgary, and LA probably does the same on Thursday.

Nanne was on KFAN this evening and he thought the decision not to play Buium was the correct decision. He thought the game was too important to essentially scout a rookie when any points ensure a playoff spot. He also mentioned that it might be a business decision too. I am not up to date on the business or contract situation but he seemed to think that just one game played this season wasn’t worth it from a monetary business standpoint.
Bob Motzko has been tapped to coach the world junior team next December too, which is being held in the Twin Cities. Team USA will be going for a third straight gold.

Not thrilled with Hynes forcing Boldy to do it. That is not even kind of Boldy’s game. He looks awful there and don’t blame Boldy for that one. That’s on the coach. Am absolutely done with that ignorant stupid experiment. Put Spurgeon back on the first unit and Faber on the second. Move Rossi off the first and put Jojo on it right now. Rossi is not playing well at all lately.
