Ready? There’s no salary cap in the playoffs.

    That’s your creative idea? lol

Yes, we’ve burned out the idea that the salary cap doesn’t exist in the Playoffs…

I’m just trying to help you get past all the BS excuses of why Yurov isn’t on the way here right now. I’m sorry it didn’t take 6 paragraphs and a tinfoil hat

I wasn’t trying to hate. I just know Hynes and BG like Vets they can trust in the lineup. Especially if they make it into the dance. I think Zeevs situation is a bit different than Faber is all. I’m as happy as anyone to see him put a wild sweater on but I think expectations for 19 year old to play on the PP and in the playoffs out of the gate is a little to much hope.

I don’t disagree with that, but i’ll just say their D options to choose from have been Iowa Wild prospects not playing upto any expectations and waiver wire pickups. I think Zeev is on a whole other level of talent and they’ll use him IF he’s shows in the game and practices he’ll hopefully get in the next 8-9 days upto the start of the playoffs that he can handle it… Now i’m not expecting anything over 3rd D pairing and PP usage though for the rest of this season, but god willing the Wild make it out of the 1st round and he’s proven he can handle the pace and physicality of NHL playoff hockey, he’ll get more minutes or based on how our season has gone, he’ll fill in for the eventual injury…

I mean for gods sake we’re talking about him playing over John Merrill and Declan Chisholm…

Hinostroza in for Brazeau tonight (Thank you Hynes) Middleton might play Saturday… Riley Heidt was assigned to Iowa for their final 4 games

I say get Zeev in there for at least one game before playoffs (Anaheim and/or Vancouver) and see what we have here.

Playoffs for him though? Not sure about that one quite yet.

They aren’t going to play if he’s not ready (outside of the potentially meaningless Ducks game they would likely sit Brodin for rest)

I only caught parts of BillyG on kfan, did hear him say he expects Zeev Buium to play when he gets here, did he mention anything regarding Yurov?

No, not really. They were all very even candidates.

That surprises me too. How many Hobey winners have gone back for another year? Although I doubt that actually happens

Joe Smith spoke to Zeev today and he told him he’s going to sign this weekend and skate at the Wild’s practice on Monday…

I looked through the list from the last 15 years and didn’t see a single one. So my thoughts are the same.

Howard could change his mind but he may be the first one in a long time.

4th line looks way better with Hinostroza instead of Brazeau…

So if the Wild win in regulation, do they clinch a playoff spot and/or is Calgary eliminated?

The Flames are 6 points back with 4 games left. Is that the scenario here tonight?

lol, yeah nothing to backup my opinion on how this season has gone huh… i’ll happily change my post if we can keep a full healthy roster for more than a week..

Don’t you have a Buium wont play thread with a giggle emoji at the end to post?

any Wild win puts them in the playoffs, Calgary cannot get eliminated tonight, they then have to pass the Blues to get in…

Calgary is a tough place to win at on the road, but the lack of effort in a clinch game is a bit concerning…

Boldy playing the PP QB is a white knuckle ride…

I haven’t seen if Spurgeon came back to the bench yet?

Our first two lines shouldn’t see the ice for the rest of the game now, rest and get ready for Vancouver… this game is over… disappointing…

Spurgeon taking a puck to the throat last night and leaving the game might open the door to Zeev Buium debuting tonight…per Russo, The Wild trying to decide on either playing rookie Cameron Crotty or getting Buium on a plane to Vancouver, obviously lots of logistics to navigate for that to happen… he was originally going to fly to MN today…

Russo also mentioned Zeev was the runner up to the Hobey… I can’t find the voting results online though..

Just sitting down for the 3rd, have been on the water all day.

So we’ve been playing with 4 defensemen this game and have given up 10 shots through 2 periods resulting in 2 goals? What???

Big 2 points there. Great last offensive possession. Had my doubts when they went down early, good to see them come back. Zuccy been playing well lately.

So I think we’re now in the playoffs if we get at least 1 point in the Ducks game or if the Blues lose their last game (not sure if they play again before us?) or if Calgary loses 1 of their last 3 games? Right?

If we get a point or if the Blues lose we’re also the top wild card team I believe?
