Well that was a cute little OT effort. How did Faber end up getting 2 on 1ed almost immediately?

I’m not falling for that trick because I sense chum in the water…

I’ll bite. Rossi lost his guy. Boldy tried to cover for him. Faber dropped the ball. Gus let it under his pad. Bad goal by Gus, should trade him, Faber and Rossi in a package deal.

I’ll bite too. It was a 2 on 1 tip in from the crease, not sure how that’s a bad goal on Gus. Faber got put in an impossible spot trying to defend a 2 on 1 flat footed. All because Rossi said F-it and decided to go for a skate. Like it’s 3v3 man coverage, where ya going bud

Ovi scored an Ovi goal tonight. Needs 2 goals in 2 games to tie the record in the same amount of games as Gretzky.

Watched the final goal replay a couple of times, no idea wtf Rossi was thinking there… its almost like he forgot it was 3on3…. Inexcusable and worthy of not playing any OT shifts for awhile…

Faber’s wtf is he doing reaction afterwards was pretty good…

Buium is part of the Hobey Hat Trick along with Ryan Leonard and Isaac Howard.

My hunch says Leonard will win it.

if voting factors in team success in addition to individual success, how can it not be Zeev? He’s outplayed and beaten Ryan Leonard (by a wide margin) every time they’ve played each other…

The Hobey committee loves goals scorers though, maybe that gives the edge to Leonard, but all Zeev does is win…

STL just blew a lead late in the third. Heading to OT. Really could use one point from them instead of two here.

The Hobey is sometimes a weird one that they don’t necessarily give to the best player. This is not a knock at Buium at all, but I think they go Leonard based on off-ice aspects like his “ultra-competitive” reputation and as kind of a reward for coming back another year when everyone expected him to turn pro. OH and he’s a full blow Mass kid

Wonder if a coach has ever won the Jack Adams in the same season that he got fired? Montgomery won’t win it but he should be in the finalist conversation

Leonard is also known as a dirty/petty player at times which isn’t a good look, that being said Zeev was suspended a game this season for fighting so…

They likely give it to the goal scorer who also happened to be Captain America at the WJC…

He also bangs his stick on the ice when he wants the puck which is really annoying.

Calgary won again last night, Wild up 5 points for the last playoff spot and Calgary still has a game in-hand and still plays us in Calgary…

but we’re guaranteed to get in so no worries… )

of Calgary’s final 7 games, 2 are against Sharks, 2 are against the Golden Knights (including the 1st of back to back games to end the season, Vegas will likely sit guys if they can) and then single games against the Ducks, Wild and Kings (who will likely sit guys if they can)…5 of those 7 are in Calgary…Tomorrow nights game vs Vegas and the Wild game on 4/11 will likely determine their playoff chances…

Kind of a must win tonight for the Wild vs Islanders who’ve lost 4 in a row, Dallas comes in on Saturday likely only 2 points away from Winnipeg and then plays them next Thursday which could be for the Conference title and avoiding the Avs in the 1st round, so they have a ton on the line to beat the Wild…

Watch it again. Rossi loses an edge and goes for a slide. Can’t recover, Boldy trys to cover but can’t, leaving Faber hanging.
It happens. The game was lost long before that.

Not sure I have seen it a handful of times and it reminds me of the annoying kid in squirts that thinks he can score no matter what.

I’ve seen Zeev do it several times during games, almost always on the Powerplay…the kid wants the puck…hard to argue with the results…

There’s no question he’ll need to tone that down at the next level, but he definitely has some swagger to him (he’s still just 19)

yeah, but his decision on who to cover (or not cover and give a Mite level stick swing fly-by defense) is what led to the goal, not him losing the edge… even if he kept his edge, he was never getting back to the net in time to cover anybody…puzzling decision for sure, Faber sure was pissed (rightfully so)

Liam Ohgren has had a really quiet good first AHL season sofar for a putrid Iowa Wild team…
33 points in 34 games including 17 goals…Ohgren, Haight, Bankier, Spacek and Lambos are the only Iowa guys to pay attention to and likely Wild callups next season (Ohgren will likely make the Wild out of camp)

It’s only based on the regular season. So the fact that Denver just beat BC has nothing to do with it. Or the fact that Denver is in the frozen four and BC is not.

Honestly could be a toss up. I could see Isaac Howard winning it too. They generally like more goals though, that’s why I guessed Ryan Leonard.

I think Ovechkin scored. He’s 2 away from the record now.

I don’t watch religiously like I used to or like most of you guys. I have been watching the last few weeks more. Wtf is up with their PP? Thought it was bad in years past but damn. That last one a few minutes ago was gross. The last few overtimes to were pathetic. There better off 5 on 5.

I hope he gets a hat trick at home for the record. Would be a fitting way to do it.
