    1) Rossi + Boldy + Heidt for Tage Thompson & JJ Peterka (Buffalo needs to re-shuffle/shakeup their roster, this trade would absolutely do it. I think it’s more of an even trade than most think when they first look at it and the caphits are likely pretty even if not saves the Wild some $ allowing the Wild to add another big UFA this summer)

Why would buffalo want to make this trade? Just because they are Buffalo?

    2) Rossi + Ohgren + Heidt + Gaudreau + 2025 2nd round draft pick for Matt Barzal (needs to be medically cleared) I know Barzal is the Islanders cornerstone player, but the Islanders are an aging team and needs to start a rebuild with a bare prospect pool, Barzal will just be wasted on that roster the next 6 years and Lou can fast track the rebuild with the Wild prospect package and Freddy gives them a good interim bottom 6 veteran player at a very low aav to play during their rebuild… 2 recent 1st and 2 recent 2nd round picks and a solid cheap veteran for 6 years of $9aav Barzal coming off a season long injury…

Nope. Don’t see what the wild are gaining here except dumping Freddy.

    awesome post! Thanks for playing!

Oh so you are the only holy one that can have an opinion on a made up trade that you sit all day and think about and then actually take time out of your day to write up an actual article about it. Awesome trades go wild. Go Joe.

Apparently Harman slew footed a dude on the JoJo goal. I missed it until the replay. No chance the league misses this. He will be out a long time this time. If they consider it a slew foot. Watching it on my PC now vs my phone it looks more like he just outmuscled him vs a slew foot, but when a guy falls backwards its never a good look.

Another nightmare scenario last night for the Wild’s playoff guarantee with the Blues dominating again and the Flames winning in OT…

There was a funny replay on the broadcast of Hartman jawing with the Vegas bench and pointing at the jumbotron, and you could clearly read his lips say “WATCH IT” over and over. I don’t think it was a slew foot, it was a puck battle that started with the puck in McNabb’s feet. And no one would be talking about it if Cassidy didn’t whine to the media about it. He knows they might see the Wild first round and if he could get a sussy on Hartman right now, why not.

it was a sly slew foot… he knew what he was doing imo, I agree he won’t get any discipline for it though as it all kind of blended into the play…

It was a puck battle with the puck in between McNabb’s feet.

I think it’s pretty well proven beyond any reasonable doubt that Hartman isn’t getting away with any “sly” or sneaky dirty plays anymore. When Bettman is going against The DoPS, you know they’re going to suspend or fine him any chance they get… DoPS absolutely loves taking his money.

so he must have been trying to kick the puck then? again, I agree he won’t get discipline because it was a bing-bang play, but when your leg sweeps forward into the back of another players legs and your arm/elbow pulls backwards on them, that’s a slew foot, intentional or not…Hartman’s argument would probably be he’s trying to pull himself around the defender interfering with him getting to the puck…imo

Hartman is also a rat so….

Edit – looks like only .png file types upload now…

Screenshots can be deceiving IMO. If you actually watch game speed McNabb puts his body on Hartman altering his balance which IMO makes it look like your screenshot, when reality I dont think that is really what happened.

I’ve watched it about 10 times, Hartman actually kicks twice…

Bettman probably wants nothing to do with this as there was no injury on the play and he’s about to start negotiating with the NHLPA on a new CBA, he also probably doesn’t want a huge suspension (wouldn’t this next strike be like 50 games? due to the recency/frequency? maybe i’m thinking of a gambling susy?) being a talking point on sports news right before the NHL’s premier event starts…

yeah, i’ve been watching that clip, the millisecond he gets to the blueline Hartman reaches/hooks (I guess saying the first leg/foot movement is an actual kick is up for interpretation) his skate towards McNabb (just watch the toe area of Hartman’s skate) causing his stick to swing backwards to keep his balance (puck is still on McNabb’s stick at the time) then he kicks again into the back of his legs…

pointless arguing it any further, you see what you see, I see what I see… all good…

Agreed. Almost like there might be some bias there.

At least they haven’t mutually terminated his contract yet

    No idea. You tell me

…The only thing saving him this season is his NMC…GMBG could also go the waivers route and see if somebody picks him up (unlikely) or they could try to come up with an agreement to mutually terminate his contract like the Blues did with Saad and he becomes a UFA and signs a cheap pro-rated 1 year deal with a contender (that would be best case scenario)

shame you didn’t post the next reply in that thread, but I guess you’re winning now?

Oh yeah, the buyout comes this summer. I think he’s been the most used center in all situations since the sussy. 5v5, PP, PK, end of game – he’s taking every big faceoff right now. …But they’re buying him out or paying to trade him this summer

Yeah let’s buy more guys out sounds like a great 5 year plan. Doesn’t the cap go up like 42x and Hartman deal looks like 2 million deal now.

He has for sure. Speaking of faceoffs, they have been doing much better lately.

Barzel would be the worst on the team percentage wise by a quite a bit just sayin. Probably has to do with being on the Islanders though. whistling
