Massive L for the organization if Kirill leaves, would set them back years. They’re not going to replace him in free agency or through trades. He’s missed half this season and the talk is all about the other guys being burnt out trying to make up for it.

I agree it would be a gaping hole. Especially given that he’s the best player this franchise has ever had.

That being said, each game right now is like watching a slow moving train wreck. Could get out of hand quick versus LA tonight.

Isn’t Kirill’s injury history a bit of concern for giving him whatever contract he wants? I don’t know… the situation is looking like a mess right now and starting to feel like lose-lose.

Would really like some clarity on KK. Is he coming back or not???

    What’s your alternative?

There is none. Just throw bags of cash at him till he says that’s enough. Then hope it pays off.

Like I said lose-lose. Classic Minnesota.

Sure but the reality is you are not getting a better player if he leaves. No matter how much money you throw around.

When Rossi cross checks a guy he even does it politely.

    That was a nice win.

This checks out. Against one of the hottest teams and for sure the hottest goalie of late.

When did Foligno get his “upper body”? Or did BG just figured he had one because of his comments in Russo’s article even though I didnt think they were overly critical???

Yeah I’m thinking it was a retaliatory bench, not an actual injury.

couple of telling things from last night…

    1) Gus Nyquil is nowhere near the same player he was last time he was here, he might be serviceable as a 3rd or 4th line guy when we hopefully get everyone healthy, but that’s his ceiling nowadays…his speed and hockey brain have really slowed down..
    2) The PK CANNOT let that full cross ice pass happen (resulting in the Kempe goal) that’s PK’ing 101 and yet we continue to let it happen all of the time (is was Nyquil who’s stick was lazy in the passing lane)
    3) They played a clip of Hynes talking about injuries between one of the periods and he said Brodin is likely close to coming back as he’s skated consecutive days in a row now BUT more importantly he said Ek and Kirill are progressing well OFF the ice. I know its not on the ice yet, so they are still weeks away, but at least we now know they are physically working out off it and not shutdown due to a relapse, this was assumed but never confirmed…we’re really grasping for straws to get any update on Kirill…
    4) Rossi, Boldy & Faber all looked like they had a little more pep in their step last night…
    5) Foligno complaining about injuries to the press and then missing that nights game with an apparent last minute injury is par for the course this season…

big 2 points earned last night, it made up for the previous bad Penguins or Blues loss and Calgary lost last night so it pushed one of the teams battling for the last Wildcard spot a bit farther out…big games tonight with the Blues, Flames and Canucks all playing..

Lol that is Billy G lumberjack two-handing some random rookie in the back of the head/neck in training camp 20 years ago. He’s always been a hothead

Thanks for the video, Joe. I couldn’t find it. Crazy how OK with it everyone was back then. Now a guy would be suspended from the team or maybe waived if they weren’t good… back then he got no discipline and the news anchor chuckled about it.

That stuff happens all the time, there’s typically no video cameras to record it…I thought it was funny to watch the other guy contemplate going back at BillyG because he doesn’t want to look weak at camp, but he also doesn’t want to be the new guy who hurts a team superstar making x100000 his salary….

A guy two handing a teammate over the head does not happen all the time. Sorry it just doesn’t.
There are cameras everywhere now. Hell you can watch most of the wild home practices at TRIA in person.

Uhhh no a lumberjack 2-hand to the back of the neck does not happen all the time

No idea how you think any of that is funny. Billy G bootlicking is running deep here

Yeah that is definitely NOT something that happens all the time. I am avoiding any commentary on the last part LOL
