OK Foligno absolutely deserves 2 minutes for that puck over glass. Should even give him 4, was so egregious it’s like drawing blood on a high stick

That was such a sloppy turnover by the Avalanche.

Tough to watch that OT… 4+ minutes of possession and 1 chance. Colorado has the puck for 30 seconds and gets 3 grade As

To be fair the usual starting OT unit is all injured. Boldy Rossi Faber group was tough to watch

OK fine I guess they were smart to play for the shootout rotflol

We don’t need 97, we just need faceoff wins whistling

Not a pretty game but give them credit for getting the S/O win. Gus had some great saves.

Got 2 points to stay ahead in the wild card but also gave Colorado a point to stay out of the Central 3 spot. Chess not Checkers

Lapanta was an absolute mess last night. Countless times he called the wrong names for players. “Skillet Save” when if went off Gus’ glove. After the shootout win he said the Wild gained 2 pts on Colorado.
Gutsy win last night. Merrill had a couple of those oh $hit shifts last night LOL otherwise played pretty well. When his stick broke in 3 places that was hilarious.

Watching Boldy’s hockey brain work 3 on 3 is an experience, both for the fans and his 2 teammates on the ice…

Big extra point last night with Vancouver losing, thx GusBus!

It sure is an experience. Thought Boldy was actually really good last night. Would be nice to see that effort 3 out of 5 games vs 1 out of 5 games.

Sorry I forgot Rule #1 of IDO great hockey minds; absolutely cannot criticize Faber or Rossi ever. The whole group of Faber-Rossi-Boldy did absolutely nothing in OT, but yes it was 100% on Boldy. Yes he was brutal, and he looked the worst because he was the one with the puck the majority of the time. But all 3 did nothing and were deathly afraid to give the puck to Avs by any means. They gave pucks back to Gus or reverse iced it more than they ever looked at the Colorado net.

But yeah 100% was Boldy… Faber and Rossi great job boys. Sorry I forgot rule #1

Yeah, the first 3 guys on the ice OT all they did was control the puck, but did nothing with it. That is on all 3 of them. Thinking back the puck seemed to be on Boldy’s stick more than the others, but regardless the trio looked afraid to make a mistake and were ineffective offensively in OT.

dang, that’s a tough take on Boldy… I was merely talking about the multiple times in OT when he zigged and Rossi and Faber zagged or pulled out of the zone when Rossi & Faber were plowing into it… Surprising they were so confused with each other when they likely practice 3-3 together alot…

I’ll break the rules then Faber does a lot of stuff good to great but the power play and especially 3 on 3 is a big fail.
His only saving grace on the pp is he can get his shot on net and either pick a corner or for a tip.
His 3 on 3 is a nightmare.. Really doesn’t know where or when to go.
He should spend the summer practicing with Zuccarello and Kaprizov.

What else do you want from your defenseman who’s still learning the PP QB position? He’s just keeping the spot warm for Buium anyways…

His OT goal against Dallas was pretty good eh? As others have mentioned, they played that OT scared to make a mistake vs going for the Avs throat, its not unwarranted though, typically 1 mistake against the Avs top guys in OT = Loss and we needed a win last night in the worst way…

Like I said… absolutely under no circumstances allowed to criticize Faber or Rossi rotflol

Always open season on Boldy though

so you don’t think a guy who’s making $7 million and played 100 more NHL games than 2 guys still on their ELC deserves a little more scrutiny? For sure Faber and Rossi make their fair share of mistakes, but they also play more demanding positions…. Boldy’s gaffs are also more memorable/visible because he has the puck on his stick more often, especially in the offensive zone…

    “A little more scrutiny” (??)
It’s 100% positive for two of them and 100% negative for the other. Didn’t realize the ELC made them exempt from criticism. Boldy is a whopping 1 year older

They’re all good players, not perfect, and the team is riding them right now and into the future

    meh, take your blinders off…

An extra 100 NHL games for 22/23 year olds is a big deal…
Why make statements saying they are EXEMPT from criticism? Wtf said that?
