That Ant dunk last night was absolutely bonkers. We shouldnt be surprised because he does it so often, but my Lord does that kid have hops.

It’s been said before but Ant is a true superstar. IMO he is the player they need to keep for his whole career.

4-2 on the 6 game road trip without Towns and Rudy.

they better be resting all important players tomorrow against the champs or Finchy better have an explanation.

refs have definitely started swallowing their whistles since the absurd Cleveland game where Rudy made the 100K gesture so thank you Rudy. doubt it keeps up but its nice to see players decide the games for once.

Damn it feels good to be a Wolves fan again!

I don’t know if they have the option, short of calling up half the G-League squad. Who’s left, Minott? Not like there’s a lot of size, biggest is what, Miller?

Ant refuses to sit but needs his knees iced every game. you can tell he could use a game off for his own good but he won’t let you take him out.

    Empty the bench tonight…..#BIGPICTURE

I love watching his monster dunks and stuff but he lands so hard and so awkward so often one of these times hes not getting back up.

Wonder why no word on Reid yet. They said when the game was over he was gone and locker cleaned out. Guessing hospital from head shot?

Maybe I am just numb to dunks in the NBA, kinda like the Dunk Comp at the ASG is boring, but I just don’t get the hype about the dunk?

Was it even a dunk? The rim never moved and it kind of looked like the threw the ball in the hoop.

I thought I heard that Reid was being evaluated for a concussion. If that’s the case, can he even fly back with the team?

It was the fact that he essentially jumped over the guy and was so high that he had to throw it into the rim vs jamming it in. Stop being old man yells at cloud. It was impressive.

I thought that dunk was pretty dang impressive! Good to see Ant taking another step, but still a ways to go to Superstar status that elevates everyone around him imo. Hopefully he realizes it’s his show, while Kat and Rudy are out and he maintains alpha dog status moving forward. Are we buying lawn chairs yet?

lawn chairs…..no chance! this team always finds a way to beat themselves so i am just going to enjoy it before the eventual collapse.

on a side note, they can play with 95% of the teams in the league and i never would have said that in 35 years so?????

Who are the other 5 percent. Only team with more wins is Boston and pretty sure Wolves beat them this year.

I dont know I’d say that dunk was still pretty dang impressive even though it does look like he just threw it down. It’s very impressive how high he can jump.

Afraid this one might get ugly quick. Hopefully they can at least make a good showing, so as not to kill momentum, but hard to see how.

I would not count this team out if they are healthy. They aren’t playing anyone tonight and are still in it. Yeah it’s double digits but that can erase quickly

Man they are fun to watch! Win or lose this game is pretty remarkable. They aren’t playing any of their bigs, playing against the champs, down big early and have willed themselves back into this game!

nope, lots of smoke & mirrors by ARod and Lore on how they would come up with the money and they failed to get enough for the final payment…They were using Equity firms and other means to make it look like they had the money, but they didn’t…as much as I don’t like Glenn Taylor, he’s a smart businessman and could likely smell the BS ARod and Laurie were shoveling and executed a deadline in the contract, a deadline is a deadline, when you’re dealing with a $1.5 billion sale, there’s no “hang on for 1 sec, I left a $100 in my couch cushion”…Glenn’s statement mentioned that extending the deadline could have been an option but it wasn’t utilized, that infers ARod a Lore likely backed out…

Don’t blame Taylor… If you’re going to buy a pro franchise, have the full funds available, not some wanky payment plan… There will likely be press coming out that Glenn stopped the sale because the Wolves value has increased X amount since the sale started, while true (every pro franchise has likely increased during the past what 2 years since the sale started?) it still doesn’t stop the fact that ARod and Lore didn’t have the money…

I also don’t buy that ARod and Lore wanted to keep the Wolves in MN, they would have found some clause to move them to a bigger market asap…at least Glenn is dead set on keeping them in MN…

A-Rod doesn’t have the money without J-Lo. His net worth is reportedly somewhere between $400-500 million. Net worth and liquid funds are very different in business.

I know some farmers who are easily worth $10s of millions + in net worth, but it’d take years for them to make those funds available. That’d also require a massive asset selloff of equipment, buildings, land, etc.

Between A-Rod and Lore not coming up with the funds, and the growing value of the franchise post-Covid and having a young star under contract leading a very competetive team…Taylor won’t sell any time soon.

This joke of a franchise never ceases to amaze me! rotflol rotflol rotflol Taylor deserves some of the blame here regardless of the details, who sells a multi-billion dollar asset on layaway? And Taylor and the NBA didn’t vet out Lore and ARod? Give me a break.

Based on a statement from A Rod and Lore, they had the money and this is on Taylor. Good faith issue here I think. This isnt the last of this saga.

Why did they go past the deadline to pay though? to me it sounds like Taylor had buyers remorse (understandable with how good the team is now and having Ant locked up long term) and his only way to get out of the deal would be if ARod and Lore missed the payment deadline and they did…

That part is true Joe and if you actually trust Taylor as being truthful with how things played out I think that is a mistake. I wouldnt trust one businessman’s statement over another.

and of course ARod and Lore are going to try and save face in the media, they just got exposed as not being able to close a purchase deal, good luck buying another major league sports franchise..

I don’t see how/why Taylor would risk a legal battle backing out of the likely (looked over with a microscope to eliminate any vagueness) contract without a clearcut legally allowed reason to do so, we’ll see
