If KG is there tonight the bullseye is going to explode.

I think he’s waiting for the finals…but yeah, it would/will be epic!

I’m just curious how the Wolves would do it though, KG’s history with Taylor is well known…not sure Glenn would sign off on it…not sure anybody trusts giving KG a live microphone with Glenn in the front row…Maybe he just sits in the front row and the scoreboard shows him and the place goes wild…

hopefully they put aside their differences for one night for the sake of the fanbase!

I love KG, but personally I don’t think now is the right time for his reappearance. Maybe in Boston in the Finals, maybe. But otherwise just stay out of the way and don’t distract from the task at hand.

IDK, everyone knows it not about him, but his presence would sure liven up the crowd and that creates an advantage.

I’m indifferent on KG. I think he’s great, but I don’t think the crowd needs anything extra. I’m good either way.

A part of me still can’t believe we won game 7, down big at half, on the road. That takes some grit. Their crowd was really going crazy and the building was amped and they stayed focused. Some serious grit and determination!

Wish I could go to Target Center tonight!

this series is a perfect matchup for Slomo’s game and he has not disappointed. Dallas takes care of the ball so any turnover is a plus too.

Slomo and McDaniels are carrying the team who had that on their bingo card?

kyrie is a great finisher and he is getting anything he wants. kind of disappointing to only be up a few with how well the Wolves have shot the ball, but its game one and both teams are probably trying to figure each other out.

good game for once bad result. kind of feel they should have been more physical with the Marc Davis crew but we are onto game 2…..welp

    Long series ahead…

Great game, just not the result I was hoping for.

McDaniels is very underrated. Ant is going to have to give them a bit more on the offensive end. KAT can’t take 20 shots that only result in 16 points either.

def not used to these close games! they controlled the game far too long without putting it away……..good wake up call

There was something off with Ant last night. No hustle, no smile or very little, no trash talk. Almost appeared to have some illness, hangover from the last series?

Ant didnt seem like himself but he started out with a few nice shots and then just didnt shoot. McDaniels had himself a career game sad it ended with a loss.

The end of the first half was a bit of a disaster. Instead of increasing the lead, it resulted in a turnover and the Mavs swung 5 points in their favor.

Obviously there was still a whole second half to play, but a 7 point lead would have certainly been more favorable than a 2 point lead at halftime.

Exactly. Gotta close quarters better. I think Edwards is hurt and not saying anything.

Pretty good game, and to control most of the game without much of anything from Ant and Kat is a good sign. I also don’t think Kyrie has the endurance to carry them for 3 quarters every game. McDaniels had a great game, and locked Luka down for 3+ quarters…until they need it and he took over. Pretty crazy how the best of the best can turn it on like that. Pretty poor game plan by the Wolves imo, they should be abusing them in the paint with KAT, Naz and Rudy and that did not seem to be a priority. Still like the Wolves in 6, maybe 7 now.

49 of the wolves’ 89 shots were threes, that’s pretty ridiculous. Was very little penetration or finishing at the rim, that’s going to have to change. 4th quarter was a good illustration of why superstars are vital in the NBA, Luka was cool as a cucumber and just got what he wanted. Would echo as well about Ant, there had to be something off with him, no way a guy like him should be looking that tired.

They also had no one in an area to get a rebound off the misses. Dont take those shots unless someone is there. Easily fixable mistakes however.

I chalk last nights loss upto a few things:

    1) Dallas is good, Luka and Kyrie are generational offensive talents and they showed it…give them their credit, they outplayed our stars
    2) There was always going to be an emotional letdown 3 days after a HUGE/TAXING game 7 comeback win on the road. Not an excuse, its just reality…
    3) This Dallas Mavericks team is MUCH different than the team the Wolves played 4 times during the regular season. The Wolves will make adjustments moving forward…
    4) Ant looked exhausted in the 2nd half…I don’t think they’ll put him on Kyrie next game just from a saving gas in his tank perspective not having to chase him all over the court…
    5) Wolves need to revert back to the gameplan they used vs Phoenix (Speedy driving PG and a Pure Shooting guard) it seemed like they were still playing a style they developed vs Denver…

This is likely going to be a 6-7 game series, 1 game doesn’t win/lose the series, that being said, game 2 is super important, we’ll see how the Wolves bounce back…

For me, simply throwing them 3’s up was not working. The one Kat took in the 4th… ridiculous, but he made it. Too many missed.. needed to get it inside more and easy dunks like the Mavs did.

That’s probably the one positive out of the game, wolves did not really play that well and still should have won. You think the way the game was played it would have been reversed. Dallas throwing up threes and wolves getting paint points. I don’t think this will continue

I agree the threes were to much and they need to go inside as long as that dont mean try to force the ball to Rudy. I like him but hes not an offensive answer.

Ugh. Sucks to lose game 1.

Agree with much of the above. The Wolves controlled most the game but let it slip away. Way too many offensive rebounds given up, 2nd chance points, and easy inside dunks.

Hopefully Finch can make the adjustments. He has been great at that all year.
