Gotta wait and see who the other teams are first before they decide who to screw with the late games. Just hope the Clippers dont advance cause they will be on at normal time for them and we will be on after so probably 9:45ish

It’s all about the cash. They will either play at 6 or 8ish on Saturday.

How does it make any sense that the 2nd round of the playoffs starts before the first round could be over? If the clippers win game 7 is Sunday for that series and the wolves play tomorrow night.

I guess it will mean extra rest for whoever wins the Wolves – Nuggets series. It might be needed if it goes 7.

You ever look at the playoff schedule? Making sense was not ever one of their priorities. rotflol

I have a feeling this series is going to be a long one. I hope the Wolves pull it off.

This has to be a 7 game series right? Now the problem with that is the Nuggz have 4 home games due to tiebreaker rules. On a side note, the Wolves had one of if not the best record on the road.

I heard this morning that Finchy is already back at practice with crutches. Sure will be interesting to see how thoroughly he is involved in the game. I think his leg has to be immobilized for a while? Do they roll him around on a mattress since he can’t sit? shock

Definitely a first for the NBA. I sure am going to miss our play by play guys tho. Hopefully Harlan is on the call as an ex OG Timberwolf!

Very possible, but not necessarily. I could see either team getting a good matchup advantage and abusing it to make it a short series. Last year Joker absolutely put on a master class on dragging Rudy/KAT away from the rim and orchestrating their offense. Could happen again, or Ant could go superhuman and steal one or 2 in Denver, and then hold serve at home for a shorter series. Really tough to call this one imo!

Last years team was alot different in that series. Towns missed most of the year. Ried was out, McDainiels punched a wall and broke his hand and was out. Was that the series where Gobert punched or tried to punch Anderson? Should be alot different this year with hopefully a different outcome.

This should be a good series.

Ant is good. He’s going to get his. I think he can score 40 in any game in this series. Jamal Murray can score too, but I don’t think he can defend Ant without a ton of help. Murray is also banged up. The Wolves have a distinct advantage in the backcourt.

At the wing, Jaden McDaniels is a long defender who can guard all 5 positions in the pick and roll. Porter Jr is a 6-10 wing himself, but he’s of the scoring mold and not the defender that McDaniels is. I’d say the matchups on the wing will be a wash.

KAT, Gobert, and Naz are 3 different bodies that can be thrown at Jokic. That’s huge, valuable depth. The problem is that nobody can really stop Jokic and he will beat you as a facilitator or scorer and is as unselfish and timely as they come. Aaron Gordon is a crazy strong, athletic guy. His physical abilities are perfect for shutting down KAT. He’s quicker and stronger than KAT and takes away the traditonal advantages KAT has as a stretch 4 in some lineups. I’d give the advantage of the big guys to Denver.

In the end, I think this goes 7 games and Denver pulls off a 5-6 point win at home to move on. The Timberwolves will no longer be an under the radar team though. Don’t be shocked if Edwards drops a 50 piece game, as I think Denver’s best recipe for success will be to turn Edwards into a volume shooter and really stiffle what KAT does while keeping Gobert off the glass.

I think it’s a coin flip due to the Joker. He is the best player in the game. The Wolves have them in depth and defense. I think it goes at least 6. KAT will have to be a big part for us and ANT has to stay in good ANT mode.

I don’t watch a lot of basketball but they’re playing prison rules this game, right? Looks physical as hell, refs especially letting Denver knock them around.

nobody can make a shot today outside of Ant and Kat. terrible tech on Ant for staring at a guy? WTF is that? the TNT crew is ripping the refs pretty good so the wolves don’t have to. Denver definitely getting more calls on some lame fouls.

    Anybody’s game tho

Murray taunting on big bucket but that is not a tech tho. there are at least 3 make up calls due for the wolves but doubt they get em. nothing easy, everything earned tonight

If they can steal game 2 in Denver, it will be a huge blow to the champs. I am really greedy but that will be a tall task.

Heard on KFAN this morning that KAT is one of the toughest matchups for Jokic, and over their history Jokic is shooting like 36% with KAT guarding him. Never would have guessed that!

KAT has definitely upped his defense this year. I think just knowing he doesnt have to do everything with Ant, Gobert, etc helps him immensely.

I finally got a chance to watch the game 1 highlights, holy cow did the Wolves make Joker earn his points, dude was a heavy bent over mouth breather by the end of the game (he still got his points)…great strategy for a likely long series!

They say that when KAT is guarding him he shoots the worst against anyone else. Which kinda surprises me because KAT isnt the best defender but much better this year.
