2023 Wolves

Just heard a posted interview/phone call reporter Doogie Wolfson had with Glenn Taylor this morning and Glenn simply said ARod and Lore came up with the payment plan in the contract with a clear set of deadlines to meet each of the agreed upon payment dates and they never made their payment on the March 27th due date so the contract was voided by Glenn. They still keep the % of the team they already paid for (ARod and Lore would be dumb to ask for it back as the team’s value has increased a ton since 2021)…I’ve read other reports that ARod and Lore were a-holes through out the 2 year purchase process and never returned calls from Glenn and his associates…

Just sounds like an old school businessman following the rules of the contract (I’m sure he’s happy to get the team back since it gained so much in value since the deal was agreed upon 2+ years ago)

If you’re ARod and Lore and you’re spending $1.5 BILLION dollars, don’t you think you would know the 3-4 days you need to make those $340+ Million dollar payments on?

ARod and Lore didn’t have the money and Glenn took advantage of their payment rule violation and got his majority interest back + the added value it has accrued…

I have also seen reports stating that they paid every deadline including the last one.

This has bad faith written all over it and if true the Taylor will get sued.

Sounds like it was pretty spelled out so contract should work itself out. If I was a wolves fan I would want to see change in ownership rather than an old crusty one.

Just hope it doesn’t become a distraction for the team. Could they pick any worse timing, bunch of f’ing idiots

Sounds like Glenn has a bad case of buyers remorse since the valuation of the Wolves has probably doubled which came under the watch of Lore and ARod. I imagine Lore and Arod will have to lawyer up but no one really knows what the wording in the contract says when they signed 3 years ago.

As a lifelong fan, I want Glenn gone, KG back and Lore and Arod pulling the strings. I don’t see this as a distraction to the players, they will just keep playing like they always do.

For those worried about the Karl injury….wolves are 9-3 without him and most of those games are on the road. Big game tonight against the Champs……should be a dandy!

Yeah this whole thing isn’t over yet about the purchase.
I’m going on record AGAIN and saying I was way wrong about Anderson. He has his issues but man he can play.

Yeah because Glenn has done such great things for this franchise.

Hate to break it to you but they still own 40 percent either way.

It’s really IRONIC that ever since Rudy flashed the $$$ sign against the Cavs, the refs have swallowed their whistles……weird?????

Yup, Glen Taylor needs to go away. This franchise has been nothing but trash for the most part under his ownership.

What if the Timberwolves faithful get the MN lawmakers to give the Timberwolves to the area tribes instead of the land surrounding lakes?!?

It solves the Taylor problem AND slows down the clawing away of public land and resources. Win win.

We can dislike Glenn, but his desire has ALWAYS been to keep the Timberwolves in Minnesota!

ARod and Lore or any other owner would move the team out of this market in a few years after purchase…

    2 things

part of the purchase agreement with Lore was that the team would not be relocated.

NBA wants to expand to 32 teams so moving the team is unlikely.

Taylor did throw out through a statement that one of the other reasons the deal ultimately fell through was the new owners wanted to relocate to VEgas. I doubt that is true however. This will end up in court.

Bulls can’t miss a F*&$ing shot today! shooting 70% so its gonna be tough to keep up with that. Surely they will not keep shooting 70%…….WTF

its not going to get any easier against teams with nothing to play for. Ant trying too hard, but they are playing great D still. wolves have the most come from behind wins last i checked so if they pull this off, it will be a huge confidence boost.

Great teams beat the Bulls after beating the Nuggets…how bad were the “sell the team” chants?

    Huh?

I’m starting to get the impression you really dislike the Wolves entirely?

They had won 4 straight games prior to last night including wins over the Warriors, Nuggets, and Cavs. No teams win them all.

Just saying even a very good team, let alone a great team, should beat a below .500 team at home, not sure why that is even controversial. And I heard the fans were chanting “Sell the team” at Glen Taylor, so I was wondering if that was an all-game thing or just a one-off?

Good teams lose to bad teams all the time. It’s sports.

Not to mention Chicago had a season-high shooting percentage last night.

I watched a decent chunk of the game and didn’t hear any chanting. Maybe I missed it.

I thought it was funny when that dude ran into Gobert near the end of the game (kinda kneed him it looked like) and Jim Peterson basically said that was super cheap and reason enough for fists, LOL. Not used to Peterson talking like that but enjoyed it!

When Peterson said it if was me I would have hit him I didnt think it looked that bad til I saw a different replay he could easily have been hurt.
