Dobbs has got such a combination of athleticism and drive/motivation, as well as supreme intelligence and it’s showing. If he was playing for another team I think I’d still be following him just because his story is so cool. To play as well as he and the team have with him the past three weeks has made for a lot of fun football.

Fake punt was great, but then we screw ourselves with a hold.

Yep, it’s all about turnovers! One can’t win giving up the ball 3 times!

if blackmon wasn’t going to compete for that pass/block
he should have just used his body to shove the wr out the back of the end zone.
    Yes turnover killed this game

Dobbs is a stud and made the Broncos’ D look bad most of the game. Not on him, and as a Broncos fan, I’d much rather take him over Wilson, but LET’s GO BRONCOS!

Yes the Touch down was terrible but metelus was line up one on one with sutton and got smoked was not even in the frame. Thats why Blackmon looked at him like where the hell were you.

Turnover continue to haunt this team 3 of them for 9 points. Also getting conservative towards half and punting the ball into the endzone. Then the Metelus then dropped an easy interception in the endzone. Those are plays that have to be made when losing the turn over battle.

Also not a fan of the pitch to Dobbs on the firs series. Either sneak it there or hand the ball of or roll him out.

    Dobbs is awesome.

The 3 turnovers were the reason we lost, the Mattison fumble was especially bad.

In the end, not too surprised coffee

Same old stuff… 17 points in the first half… then put it on cruise and score 3 more in the 2nd half. Nobody wins championships doing this. coffee

I will say.. Dobbs instincts in the first half when the pocket was collapsing was to go forward… in the second half, he would go backwards ???

I am not a Vikings fan, but if I was I’d be ready to see Mattison hold down the bench.

He just never seems to hang onto the ball when it matters. He also seems to have a knack for letting openings close quickly and turn what could be big gashing runs into 3-4 yard runs.

Dalvin hasn’t done much in NY and his contract demands were absurd, but the Vikings betting on Mattison seems to be a mistake.

I thought that was easily Dobbs worst game as a Viking, but still should have won by 2 scores if we hang onto the ball. Dobbs didn’t really even attempt driving the ball downfield. Technically had 3 fumbles, 2 on snaps that him and Bradberry were not on the same page on. Outside of the turnovers, I thought Mattison and Chandler both ran well last night, Chandler has a lot more burst and deserves to be RB1 moving forward imo. They seemed to be going at Blackmon by design, and thought he did well overall until the last play of the game. Both him and Metellus need to be WAY more aggressive on that, Sutton should have been destroyed and pushed out of bounds.

Kareem Jackson should have been flagged and ejected for that hit on Dobbs and resulting fumble. That is an easy call in today’s NFL and was clearly missed, I would not be surprised if he ends up with another suspension. He’s got a history, and was flying around spearing people like it was 1995. Not surprising from a Sean Payton team that they were chippy and borderline illegal in many facets.

End of the day, a road Loss to an AFC team isn’t that big of deal and Vikings still control their own destiny for making the playoffs. It’s looking like 9 wins will make the tourney, and they are 6-5 with a home stretch of Bears, Raiders, Burrow-less Bengals, Lions, Packers, Lions. If they can’t go 3-3 over that stretch, well they get what they deserve.

SHould have had that one if they held onto the ball. Dobbs wasnt great, but not really the reason they lost. I swear Mattison is about the most fumble prone player we have had outside of Peterson. There were two spearing incidents by two different players. THe other one hit Mattison in the head.

KFAN said that the primary reason Chandler has not received more playing time is because he’s terrible at blocking. Mattison is a much better blocker, especially on passing downs.

I do agree Chandler looks more explosive and fresh when he gets the ball though.

Chandler had a coupe of KEY blitz pick-ups last night. There were probably other times he didn’t do so well and I didn’t realize it. Really like the guy’s speed.
Dobbs was the only thing good about our red zone offense last night and the two touchdowns we’re squarely on him making something of nothing. Otherwise we were awful with scoring opportunities – either fumbling or taking 3 instead of 6 with that last drive being the most frustrating – It’s been said many times but feeling like we weren’t playing to win, rather “not-to-lose.” Gotta put the dagger in when we have the chance.

Well he gave up the pressure on the Dobbs pick, but agree he was good on some other big plays.

Ugg this site blows. Had a long write up about the game day experience in Denver but it didn’t post.
Anyway Denver pregame is pretty wild.
5 para troopers landing on a blacked out field with orange lit parachutes to the song thunderstruck was pretty awesome.
Good fan banter. And lots of purple at the game.
Vikes let them hang around just long enough.

I fell asleep at half time. Did they do the same crap as the week before and play a different defense in the 4th quarter. Go from blitzing and applying pressure to rush 3 and let them do whatever they want.

    No defense wasn’t the issue.

This was a bad loss in a real winnable game. It sure is nice to watch a QB that has some mobility. There was at least 5-6 plays where Dobbs mobility extended the play. Cousins would have just fell to the ground long before the pressure even got 1/2 that close to him. I am a little worried about Dobbs arm strength. It just doesn’t seem like he has much zip on the bad. Lots of passes that seem to just float. I’d like to see them take a few shots downfield, but maybe he just doesn’t have the arm for it. a lack of a long ball will surely hurt JJ’s #’s when he returns. I also feel like the coaching backs way off and plays to conservative when they have a few point lead. You could almost feel the switch in the 2nd half yesterday. Not many teams get wins when the turnover Diff. is -3. I hope this loss does not end up haunting them down the line somehow.

No cousins would get the ball out much quicker.

NFL suspends Broncos S Kareem Jackson 4 games after hit on Vikings QB Joshua Dobbs

yet it wasn’t worthy of a 15 yard personal foul on the field? This officiating somewhat pathetic.

That play virtually gave Denver 3 points. Funny how New York can pull a player from the game on a hit they may suspect an injury but don’t review an obvious hit that was AKA (college targeting) for lack of a better description. Officiating has been horrible across the league. Which adds fuel to the rumors of predetermined out comes. Not saying that’s the case but the league needs to do a better job of how everything is being handled.

Thing is that same player just came back from which was originally a four-game suspension but knocked down to a two game for doing the same thing.

Should apply to the coach too, he’s got an even worse history…
