2023 Vikings

All three SF player names mentioned above are game changers. Missing one or all three will impact the 49ers.

Browns exposed the 49ers weaknesses. The big questions is: Will the Vikes learn from the game film and capitalize before Shanahan adjusts ?

That and do not turn the ball over.

If they lose to the 49ers they will be 0 – 4 in home games.

One item to note on the Vikings this year is. Their longest run by a RB is only 17 yards. and they have had 0 rushing TD’s this year. currently they have 14 Passing TD’s Total Rushing yards = 450. Total Passing yard = 1679. They really need to get the ground game going.

Where are Oliver and Ham ? I thought they were supposed to make a difference in the run game.

Was it Chilly or Fraizer that teams almost always played to the level of competition they faced? That is KOC in a nutshell.

    Where are Oliver

Oliver is one of the highest graded TEs in the league. The running problem isnt on him its Mattison not picking the right holes. There is tons of tape where he flat out goes the wrong way. A huge gaping hole created by Darrisaw where he should cut up but goes around and gets next to nothing. Dude has no vision whatsoever.

Linebacker Marcus Davenport has been placed on IR due to a high ankle sprain.

This has been a very disappointing signing. 13M for that guy and he played in 2 games?

Can’t say I disagree, so far.

High ankle sprains are bad news too. Usually take a long time to heal and if you try to come back early, it often just gets re-injured.

100%! And they signed him knowing he had a bum ankle. How did he pass a team physical with an ankle injury? When he played he was pretty noticeable though in a good way.

The new injury is on the other ankle. Likely one of those fluke situations. I was at the game, and never really saw what was going on, then saw #0 being helped off the field. My wife was at the concessions and I set her a text to double up my beer order. She asked why, I said because we’re watching the Vikings. )

Some players never are right … they spend their careers injury-plagued.

Are their bodies are not built to withstand pro sports, unlucky, poor trainers, bad fields, bad decisions, play recklessly, combination of one or more of the above ?

there are a lot of players and former players really pounding the NFL About certain turfs. That’s a big part of it. Don’t quote me but it’s my understanding that the Vikings field is getting redone next year.

Well, I think the Viking’s chances next week just went from 40% to 30% of a victory over the 49ers with that missed field goal.

I was not aware Deebo, McCaffery, and their left tackle are all injured and not likely to play this week. If they don’t play, I like the Vikings’ chances of getting their first home victory.

Can tell the Vikes are doing great when they play in a few hours and not a mention for a few days.

McCaffrey is playing. Deebo and Williams are out.

The pundits (experts that they are) are at a loss on why Coach S. puts so much emphasis on McCaffrey. They all say it will be a wonder if he is the man come playoff time.

Why can EVERY other NFL team complete a simple 5-7 yard out route all the time except if your the Vikings?

It just seemed so telegraphed. And maybe Cousins MNF record has something to do with it too.

However, McCaffery just coughed up the ball and that never happens so maybe our luck will change

Bizarre game! Addison totally bailed Cousins on that underthrown ball, what a catch!

And then we miss the extra point doah

Cousins doing his best Jalen Hurts short yardage impression there. What a disaster. Let’s not try that again.

If they can go 2-2 over their next 4 games (Panthers, Chiefs, Bears, 49ers)…then the schedule opens up a bit. They’d be sitting at 2-5.

Then comes a run of the Packers, Falcons, Saints, Broncos, Bears, Raiders. that they could realistically go 4-2 or even 5-1 with.

I still think this team will be close to .500 or just above when all is said and done. They aren’t going to be picking in the top 5 in the draft.

    Bump from a month ago.

I’ve still got the Vikings at 8-9 or 9-8 by the time the season is done. The schedule is ripe for the picking now.

Tell you what, the defense played pretty darn well tonight. Cousins was a monster too. Didn’t get sacked once.

Win the turnover margin, win the game. It’s a pretty simple concept. All those losses early were because they turned it over way too much.

Maybe we should trade Cousins to San Fran…

    Entertaining game.
