They are not trading KC to the Jets.
Thats the most outlandish thing that only a rag like SKOR NOrth would throw out there.
JJ holds the cards. I doubt they touch the qb position in any way, shape, or form without JJ providing input.
Kirk is a top 10 QB with flaws (but everyone has them). It’s extremely unlikely they find anyone similar via trade or turn a pick into one within the next few years. By casting off Kirk, they’d be essentially admitting that JJ will be allowed to walk too. JJ isn’t sticking around to be anyone’s rebuild.
***Full disclaimer – I think they still need to swing with a Day 1/2 pick at QB who has a logical path to succession in the next 3-4 years…but don’t trade Kirk as a part of that process
Bucky is right. Try and find a guy in the draft and hope he pans out. Trading Kirk isnt the answer and would set this team even further back. He is not the problem. Their line play is a far greater issue than anything else, well besides turnovers. Good lord.
The fumbles can be addressed by the coach. If you fumble in the game, you are fumbling in practice too. If you fumble in practice, you run laps. A guy might hang on the ball tighter if he’s spending half the practice running laps.
Some fumbles are just good plays by the defense, and there’s nothing you can do about. I don’t buy the idea that all of the fumbles this season already were just random though. Every single offensive player who catches or runs needs to work on this in practice.
I remember when Adrian had fumbling issues. Part of it was his violent running style, but in practice they tied a rope to the ball and had him run while they tugged on the rope. That fixed the fumbles, at least for a while.
Peterson’s fumbling issues were cured when he change HOW he held the ball. Basically the point of the ball in the palm of his hand the then locked into his elbow.

Your hired. KOC your out
Honestly though. Do you really not have something better to do with your time.
Sorry but I just found this weird.
It happens in every stadium. They appear to just like watching football and probably live close to the stadium.

And who cares. They are paying to support our team. At least they are man enough to troll in person instead of online
God, looks like some of this stuff is on purpose?!
Was curious about the no challenge on two of the calls then challenge the one that is obvious?!
The Queens…..

Kirk is not the problem but he’s not the answer either. Time to rebuild, go young, draft a QB and build up the lines. Stick a fork in these guys.I agree, we need to build up lines and a 40 million dollar quarter back does not help that. I would like to see us trade Kirk to the jets for some draft picks and their young qb (even though he is not great).
Jets don’t have any draft picks.
Could be the preposterous statement of the year and make fun of it all you want – but, with or without JJ– if they can figure out the turnovers, we could go 7-1 over our next 8. This is the cake part of the schedule coming up. Not gonna beat SF, but the rest are very manageable games. I’m not giving up quite yet. Time to see if the Rookie Addison can shine and Osborne and Hock gotta step it up BIG TIME.

The Vikings will likely be favored in 4 of their next 6 games (Maybe even 5)…with the Saints game being a toss-up on betting lines. I could see them even favored if they win some to get there and JJ is back.
The Vikings have a pretty clear path to .500, despite the slow start.
Unfortunately .500 won’t likely get them into the playoffs and will just hurt draft positioning.

Weird position to be in for sure this year. Thunderlund ain’t wrong, and there is a legit opportunity for the Vikings in a bad division. Improbable, but then again, a few bad losses for the Lions and the Vikings beating them twice could have them back in it. But then…for what? It’s a weird spot to be in as a fan, I want to see my team win and I want to talk ball security, route options, blitzing, etc. but it’s just not that exciting.
Glad I drafted Addison. I find that “most” fumbles are the back or receiver or whoever, trying to get that half yard more… especially AP, he wouldn’t go down, kept his legs churning and let them punch and rip at the ball for a couple more seconds before going down and sometimes they knock it out. Yes, fumbles in practice = laps, grass drills, bear crawls and sometimes mittens.

Absolutely.
As a Packers fan it’s a weird spot too (Newsflash everyone, neither the Packers or Vikings are going far in the playoffs or likely to them). Watching your favorite team win is great, but watching them subject themselves to mediocrity is not. I do think the Vikings will finish second in the NFC North as they make some hay in the next 6 weeks. That really only raises more questions than answers going into their next season though.
I want to root for wins, but as assembled and with the injuries to 6 of 22 starters I don’t see any way that the Packers are finishing with more than 7 or 8 wins on a not too difficult schedule. Part of me wants to see them take their lumps and be willing to hit reset sooner. Yes Aaron Jones is a nice piece, but he’s not turning the tide. Every relevant WR is barely old enough to consume alcohol. Their OL is a mess highlighted by the $30 million yard ornament that is Bakhtiari. Both inside linebackers are out. The ceiling is dropping with each passing week.
Addison has great hands and runs crisp routes, but needs to go to blocking school.
Most WRs cannot block though. There are a few that are good JJ for example. Addison isnt a very big guy either.
after JJ went out i noticed Cousins paid more attention to the other recievers….. that Powell kid looked decent!!!!!
Not ideal, JJ to IR out at least 4 games.
I care to disagree. Hamstrings stink, and can be a big issue. But I’m honestly really curious the true extent of the injury.
Him being out the nest 4 weeks means they’ll likely lose the next 4. I hope the coaches see the writing on the wall and just tank. Trust me, I would rather see them win, and make the playoffs, I have a 5 figure bet on the line that they win their division.
But at some point you just have to realize they won’t be going anywhere this season, and look towards next year.
My son keeps saying “tank for caleb” and I am like NO! I dont want to be miserable watching a terrible team. This team didnt just turn to crap in a year they are just not getting the breaks they did last year. They overachieved last year for sure, but they are not a 1 win team.
I hope the coaches see the writing on the wall and just tank.
I don’t know why people constantly say this. Professional athletes and coaches don’t purposely “tank” games. And if they do, they usually get busted for it or they get removed from the league, as they should.
They aren’t going to tank the season. You might want them to, but I can assure you they won’t. Even when Detroit went winless for an entire season they kept playing games and they were competitive most of the time, trying to win every single game. You can still look towards the future without “trying” to lose games.
Right on Gim! The other thing is there is zero guarantee that getting the #1 pick that they will pan out. How many times have we seen it? Far too many actually. Caleb does look really good as does that UNC kid Maye.
They are not finishing with the worst record in football so Caleb is a pipe dream either way.

I can assure you they have tanked so far this season. Look at their record, 1-4. That’s a tanking season. I can also be 100% confident that professional athletes/coaches have purposely lost or played poorly. I’m not saying they are intentionally doing that now, just that it has happened many times in the past.
I love watching the Vikings, and watch them religiously. But I have learned to do just that, watch them. If they win, they win, if they lose they lose. Watching them purely for entertainment with little emotion attached has been much more rewarding.
I don’t believe the Offense has turned to crap, but they surely are having issues with catching the ball. Fumbling stinks, but the dropped balls are far more concerning. But the defense has been crap the last two years. One of the biggest reasons they seceded last years was the TOs they caused at the most opportune time. But they still gave up gobs of yardage.
I’m planning to go to the game this Sunday. So, we’ll see who shows up to play.

All four losses were by 7 points or less. And you think they tanked on purpose?

That’s what I keep telling him and others who keep saying to tank. No chance.
