The thing I find funny about Bogo playing in 3-3 OT is that the coaches probably tell him to play it safe and he’s like F that noise and is constantly rushing the puck and cycling behind the net…

The last few OT’s I’ve said to myself why are they playing him in OT and then realize that after Faber, who’s a better choice? Its tough as they are all flawed and make zero sense to be out there…

Why wouldn’t the Wild do everything they can to try and get Yurov over here next season? (Unless he doesn’t want to yet?)
You can buyout Jojo (or move him to bottom 6) and replace him with Yurov at the same caphit as he’ll be on his ELC.

Do what you can to break him away from the KHL asap or risk him getting a HUGE offer to stay longer…

Look at his effort on the gwg assist today…

Sounds like William Nylander signs his 8 x $11.5aav contract today…does that spell doom for Toronto re-signing Mitch Marner in 2 years?

Obviously Faber/Rossi/Wallstedt/Kaprizov extensions will heavily eat into whatever Capspace is available 2-3 years down the road, but with the expected cap jump over the next 3-4 years and some of the veteran contracts that will be expiring over that time (Zuccy, Hartman, GusBus, Foligno, Spurgeon) Marner would look really nice in green if he gets to UFA…

Did I see a rumor that the Salary cap is expected to jump $11M after next year?

I think that’s over the next few years…$4.5 bump next season and then bigger jumps 2-3 years down the road…

OK, that makes more sense, but I do recall seeing an $11M number but perhaps its as you say cumulative and not a single year jump.

last projection I saw was that they expect the cap to go over $100 million in 3 years…it’s currently $83.5 Million…

go look at Toronto’s capfriendly page, that’s just crazy next year…look at their goalie allotment…lol

How long do they keep rolling with this model without any playoff success? (beyond last year finally getting out of the 1st round)

Annual salary cap ceiling increase is capped at 5% so the CBA would have to change before an $11m bump happens. Or the NHL and NHLPA would have to agree on the increase, so good luck with that.

    $83.5m * 1.05 = $87.675m <— the project cap ceiling for 2024-2025

Wow, big trade between Philly and the Ducks for a couple of young stud players. Cutter Gauthier didn’t want to play for Philly and the Ducks had the luxury of being loaded with top D prospects…

I’d be curious if GMBG ever had calls with Briere about a trade or maybe Gauthier didn’t want to play for the Wild…. Cutter is somebody the Wild would love to have… Philly would probably ask for Yurov and a high pick

I swear Ek is the ONLY Wild player who screens… we take so many shots with nobody in front of the goalie… easy save…

That was not a good goal allowed by Fleury. Poor angle too from Seguin.

Freddy has got to be the softest player in the NHL… He was protected by Deano but Hynes needs to kick him in the a$$ or demote him…

These Wild special teams are a hoot, I dont think Hunt will ever see the pp again…

The special team stats the last 2 vs Dallas games have got to be a record… Is it 6 Powerplay goals and 4 Shorties!!! Wtf!

Its pretty crazy how much the Philly Team & Organization is publicly $hitting on Cutter Gauthier tonight…. Typically teams wipes their hands of it and its done…

Started watching, then accidentally saw the final score and immediately shut it off. Watching the recap was depressing enough.

You can’t say bad things about Brock. Replay showed that goal was on Flower, Hartman, Freddy, and Foligno coffee

Yeah, that was the worst game I have seen Brock play. Which is too bad, but he will bounce back. Through most of 2 periods I thought they were holding their own and held the edge in play much of the time, but then the floodgates opened.

Cutter Gauthier didn’t want to play for Philly

How come he doesn’t want to play for Philly? Has he publicly stated that and what was his reason? The Flyers look like a team on the rise. They’ve been bad for a couple years now and have a pretty good stock of youth piled up.

I thought he played fine (outside of that PP miss-handle, but those things are going to happen) last night was the first time I thought he appeared to be trying to do too much on his own…it felt like everybody on the Wild was waiting for somebody else to do something vs them doing it…The 2nd SH goal was due to Hunt being too scared to make a mistake and then it resulted in him making 2 big ones resulting in the goal, Freddy also was his typical self and playing hockey with white gloves on…

Flower did everything he could (let in a softie but also made a couple of unreal saves) we’ll see if the Wall of St.Paul can make a difference tomorrow night…
