Spurgeon is getting rag-dolled all over the ice, Goose looks like he hit his 4-5 game wall before he needs his rest again… could be a long game..

Ekker with the Undertaker Choke-slam on Dillon of all people!

Funny how Merril can’t make a single average play anymore…

Goose and Merrell are having rough games. At least Spurgeon got a goal.

When All of us back in MN sitting on our couches know Spurgeon isn’t going to shoot on the PP, pretty sure the NHL/Jets know that as well, so why put someone that predictable out on the PP1 unit?

Spurgeon needs to sit on the bench on the pp. He’s awful on the pp.

Because there’s no one else to put there that’s right handed. That was Dumba’s position on the PP before wasn’t it? He’s essentially in there by default.

Dumba never QBed a powerplay. Back when he was a PP guy he was in the Ovi spot taking one timers. Suter and Spurgeon were always running them

The other RHD that can run PP1 is the guy who did it the last 5 games

Crossing fingers on injuries, neither look serious

Kirill might want to think about wearing the speciality lower back/kidney protection gear some guys wear (Parise does). From pictures/video I’ve seen of him in the locker room he just wears Tacklas with a fit over breezer shorts cover.

Getting those type of cross checks has been in the game forever, nothing special or unique about the shots Kirill took from Dillon, other than it took him out of the game…

If Kirill will miss time, then tomorrow’s game should be interesting for Mr Dillon (who can handle himself just fine) and the rest of the Jets lineup…

I was able to watch the first 2 periods of today’s game, Merrill has got to go, I don’t see how they can play him over Mermis unless its due to cap related reasoning…2 goals today were a direct result of Merrill being terrible and on the 4th goal his decision making and lack of effort should put him out of the league for good (sadly it won’t)

Faber was doing just fine while Spurgeon was out and he would shoot the puck from the point every now and then (he could actually get shots through to the net most of the time) to keep the PK honest (and scored once)…

as TS said, Dumba was setup in Ovi’s kitchen for the few years he had a 1 timer that would hit the net…then he fought Tkachuk and his career changed forever…

Why coaches change things that were working boggles the mind… hopefully Spurg didn’t learn any bad habits from Suter during his time here and demanded the PP1 QB spot back… Russo mentioned the staff reasoning for the change was that they liked Spurgeon’s break out and zone entries better than Faber’s. I call BS on that, all our PP QB does for a breakout is skate upto our blue/red line and pass it backwards to Kirill or Jojo, never do they skate the puck into the zone…

Quick Wild Prospect WJC Update, other than bright spot Servac Petrovsky leading the tournament in points still, Ohgren has been disappointing when he should be dominating, Keumpelienen looked slow and has been scratched the last 2 games…

    So not great….

Ya your right, Faber would be a much better option than Spurg right now, especially given that Spurg has been out for a while.

Wild recalled McIntyre again. Depending how long Gus is out will we see Wallstedt at all this year???

Faber gets the puck through more than 50% of the time it seems. Far better option than Spurge. SOrry Captain!
Well, missed the last two games. Today looks to be a donnybrook so hold on to your butts. I have 5 seconds into the game for first fight. What is the over and under on that?

They need to send a message today. They should be lined up waiting to fight Dillon or try to take him out of the game all day today. I wouldn’t even be upset if someone took a short suspension. They can’t keep letting the league take shots at KK like this. It’s been going on for more than a year. The refs aren’t doing anything about it, and neither is the league. It’s time to send a message to the league that this crap will not continue, and need to make an example out of Dillon. Today.

    Lolololol

Foligno and Dillon in the first 5minutes. Maybe even first shift depending who starts – haven’t seen the lineup yet.

I still don’t think a fight is a big enough statement. Maybe take out Scheiffely. whistling

I agree that fighting Dillon again does nothing (he has a very good chance of winning the fight and giving the Jets the momentum)

Wild just needs to play tough/rough on every play, no backing down by anybody…

Cant take dumb penalties though with our poor PK…

Fitting my post never took but I predicted a fight in the first 5 seconds so I guess I win. Not sure what though.
