I actually enjoy the speculation and I get a good laugh out of it.

I just think that two GM’s one as an assistant have been fired at not normal times in the last few years that there may be a bigger issue at play overall.

Either way I think it is pretty tough to build something special with turmoil at the top.

I see people all over twitter pissed that the person that reported the incident was named. Well I can guarantee you one thing, Russo wouldnt have named them if they didnt sign off on it. No chance!

ok, what I really think happened was the Timberwolves brass setup the whole thing so MN fans would pay more attention to the team with actual title possibilities this season…

Don’t stop, I could read these all day rotflol

Completely agree. Tough look for “leadership”

It’s not weird, or maybe it is?

As most Minnesota sports fans know, we just can’t have nice things.

If BG gets canned, ain’t no good gm in their right mind coming to this gong show till the cap hits are gone.

Another reason to strongly dislike the crap stain RS. Worst top defense in nhl history, and we were lucky enough too have him for far too long. Did nothing positive for this franchise short or long term. Didn’t like him when he was here, and even less now that he’s gone. Oh but he was such a princess like elegant skater. Who give a crap, he still sucked/sucks.

You obviously don’t remember the years before Suter/Parise.

ZP and RS were underwhelming. All hat and no cattle.

Riley Heidt had 5 assists last night, he’s upto 60 points in 30 games…

Jesper Wallstedt stopped 27/28 shots in Iowa’s win, his season’s save percentage is just ridiculous…

Perception of Suter and Parise was doomed from the start by desperately unrealistic expectations because of just how bad the Wild were AND how horseshit our drafting had been under Dillweed Duggie.

Even last season Parise was a 20 goal guy at what 38?. Now if you as the average MN fan, how many 20 goal guys are there on an NHL team they’d say every team has at least 8 of them and the good teams have 10-12.

Most MN fans considered 30 goals to be an epic fail for Parise.

The difference is last year Parise was paid $950k to score those 20 goals…He was being paid $7.5 million per season here to score more…that’s why 20 goals a season during his Wild years would have been a disappointment…

That’s the whole point. Guys think it’s easy to score 20 goals and for the money Parise was making most Minnesota fans thought he should have been scoring 50.

Like I said expectations were based on where the wild were at the time, not a realistic view of what P/S or any other two players could do for a team. If you remember back to those days, fan frustration was high, we had huge issues with draft prospects panning out, and fans were tired of the boring playing style of the dump and chase era.

It will never get old rehashing 11 & 20 jester

Parise was a 35-40 goal scorer with the Devils, over point per game a couple seasons. With the Wild he was 25-30 goals and never close to ppg. He also played full healthy seasons every year except one with both the Devils and Islanders. Never did it with the Wild. It’s fair to be disappointed with Parise’s production with the Wild, not just based on the money but based on what he did before he came here.

Suter was top 5-10 in the Norris almost every season in Minnesota until the end.

Why I am still talking about these two

He put up 45 in 08-09 when NJ lost to LA in the Stanley cup finals.

I do agree though, he generally did not live up to his massive salary but certainly had an extremely productive career, regardless of who he’s played for.

Good atmosphere at the X today. Between periods, I mentioned to the crew the stats that I wish were tracked so I could know if the Wild really are as bad as I think they are at…

    1. Broken sticks while on the PK. Go back and look at the last 5 games, the Wild have had at least 1 broken stick during a PK each of the last 5 games and I recall noticing this way back in about November. Of course, it happened again today. Has anyone else noticed this? Maybe naming Bob’s Scratch & Dent Sticks as the official stick supplier to the MN Wild this year wasn’t the organizational triumph it was made out to be.

    2. Shots missing the goal by more than a foot. Are the Wild leading the league in this? It seems like it at times, and by “at times” I mean like at times during every period of every game.

    3. Taking really, really stupid penalties away from the play. Bedosian, worked hard again today to keep us in what surely is the top 10 in the league.

I lost respect for Heydt when Russo did that story about him and he admitted to removing Gus Bus from the team text group because he had an android.

Do you realize the reason Gus was not in the team group chat was not a decision, it was a technology reality. Every player on the team except Gus had an iPhone, Android can’t communicate via iMessage.

Not according to what Russo wrote it was because he was irritated about the green bubble. I have no issues texting people on Iphones many of my family members have them.

5-2 since Hynes too over? That’s pretty good. Back to a .500 record now too and 4 points out of the last playoff spot (Arizona) with 2 games in hand.

Couple of games coming up against the division leading Bruins and Jets. Guess I didn’t even realize that Winnipeg was leading the central division.

The Wild are calling it a ‘mutual parting’, but there’s certainly way more to that story. Billy, who’s an open book, you know, as transparent an executive as we’ve had in town in a long time… is not responding to messages. So just… there’s some weird stuff going on right now.”

“My understanding is it’s not anything that Chris did wrong. And so… just very, very interesting, the timing of all this; middle of the season… mid-December, that the assistant general manager is now gone… who recently signed a new contract, by the way. Just… the whole thing, it’s just weird. There’s way more to that story, put it that way. Way, way more.”

I want to know the way way more part. Weird that it has been this silent since the story dropped.

    7-2 under Hynes.
