How about this one T? https://x.com/BrandonMileski/status/1735519576195035484?s=20
I’ll start a full blown vector analysis and share my results when they’re ready
I was sitting right on the top of the circles and I said something to the guy next to me that he just went backwards. He just kind of looked at me like he didn’t know what I was talking about.
Not that it affected the play.
Elliotte Freidman and Jeff Marek on the dysfunctional Wild front office:
I have no idea what happened with O’hearn… people are stunned… if you go through the NHL and talk to people say this is a person who is guilty… he would be very low on the list, very low… people are shocked
Russo wrote that Guerin is expected to continue working … I don’t know that, and I don’t dispute Russo, but I haven’t been told that same thing.
One thing Russo hadn’t written about … because of the staff member, some players were really upset about it. I’ve been told some players were upset and the Wild had to manage that.
I know there was a complaint, I know Guerin was under investigation … I don’t know where this is gonna go … I don’t know what else I can say … the story is clearly not over yet, we’ll see where this goes.
Definitely not nothing, and we haven’t seen how this ends yet
So if this is all connected
We have the guy who all the players absolutely love, their friend, travel guy, caretaker, etc… gone.
We have the CBA capologist who people in the league are absolutely shocked he could be guilty of misconduct… gone.
And then we have this guy:
Added screenshots in case the video doesn’t work
Totally agree. I also believe Russo knows way more than what is being reported.
Fun game last night! The Maroon and Foligno line was like watching a time lapse to yesteryear, so slow and plodding. Is Faber really Suter 2.0? Very solid defensively, with little to no interest on the offensive end (he’s currently 52nd in DMan points).

Definately not. He leads this team in points and only 1 assist on PP. Something that I think all the top 25 D in the league have.
I look forward to seeing him evolve over his career.
Play style is definitely different but don’t forget Suter was a top 5-10 Dman for like 10 years straight

It’s sometimes difficult to tell for sure because of the camera angle, but there have been numerous times where it looked to me like the player looped backward in a shootout.
I wonder if this above-the-dots loop-back has ever been called?
Don’t think so but honestly doesn’t really affect the play either.

And we still don’t know what the second external investigation was all about. The first external investigation was about Gurin’s alleged verbal abuse, but what was going on with calling in a second investigation?
There’s a lot still to come out here. The Wild front office has got some issues.

I believe the first investigation was what led to O’Hearn’s firing and BillyG was the 2nd or vice versa the order…they claim their timing was a coincidence…hard to believe…
The way I read it the first investigation was what led to O’hearn leaving and the second investigation was Bill Guerin’s alleged verbal abuse.
From The Athletic:
News of the investigation into Guerin comes a day after the Wild confirmed to The Athletic that they had “mutually agreed to part ways” with assistant general manager Chris O’Hearn following a separate probe. Team sources indicated that it was coincidental that the two investigations concluded almost simultaneously.
Agree the two being unrelated seems unlikely

That’s what I’m saying here. The rule says forward progress must be maintained. I can’t be the only one here who thinks there are a number of players who do not follow that in a shootout. Lateral movement is technically not even forward progress, so looping backwards would definitely not be forward progress either.
You could still do a spin o rama and maintain forward progress. Would be tough though.
Splitting hairs here because I hate the shootout as well but I can make plenty of lateral moves that keeps me moving towards the goal. Your first example with Blake he was moving forward the whole time.
The last one when he looped back didn’t affect the actual shoot out attempt.
Shoot outs are a dumb way to decide a winner so probably should just change that instead.

That is something we ALL can agree on.
My guess how it all played out….GMBG and O’Hearn got into an argument during a stressful cap/roster meeting and O’Hearn got physical and GMBG reported it (Has there been any photos or video of BillyG lately with any bruising? Russo said he was in the GM box last night but I didn’t see the Ballys camera ever show him like they usually do?) Then Hyde confronted GMBG about it a day or so later and GMBG got loud and threatening with him resulting in the other HR report submitted by Hyde.. Russo’s story mentioned 15 people were interviewed by the lawyers, so that means it likely took place in the Wild offices or Tria Office area…
I think that’s the differentiator on why O’Hearn was let go and GMBG wasn’t…Physical vs Verbal…
We should get the On The Bench boys to reenact it…
Do you honestly think Ohearn would get physical with Guerin? Hed get his ass kicked.
There’s a million things that could have led to these investigations
I think that’s the differentiator on why O’Hearn was let go and GMBG wasn’t…Physical vs Verbal…
Reading that whole thing you sound so dam confident that’s exactly what went down and I’m hysterically laughing

yeah, I don’t think it would be smart, but look at the wording of the story, The Wild felt GMBG’s actions didn’t meet the requirements for termination, but they felt O’Hearn’s did…I read that as physical contact is likely the policies focus… All speculation, but I think if GMBG had hit back (again speculating) that would have then opened the Wild up for litigation by O’Hearn and maybe that fueled his decision making…
for those who will complain about speculating, give me a break, that’s what you get when you announce the story but provide no details…

I’ve watched alot of CSI…:)
I think it’s kinda fun to speculate on this because GMBG is such a Wildcard…You can see him happy and fun in interviews and then you can see video of him going crazy and loose it on some rookie in practice…no theory is too far out there not to believe…

What gets me – and I’m sure it’s just lost in text communication – is how you just seem so confident this is exactly how it all played out. Down to the minor details and motives and everything
I just hope if my depiction is close, the argument was about the length of term they gave Foligno… then I could understand the supposed physicality…
ok, what I really think happened was the Timberwolves brass setup the whole thing so MN fans would pay more attention to the team with actual title possibilities this season…
