If following the rules, how did they not overturn Zuccy’s goal?

Defense played well for all the scrambling done the past few days, heck even Goose looked alot better!

Watched KK pretty close tonight. Just doesn’t seem to be able to skate as well as he can.

The confidence in his finishing is all but gone right now. Fumbling pucks and double clutching on grade A’s

KK needs a mental health day.

The play where Kirill had a mini break down the side of the boards and skated in on the goalie and only had the very top short side corner to aim at and instead hit the goalie right in the middle of the flaming C on his jersey says everything… most NHL players can pick that corner or get dang close…

His brain and hands are on different way lengths right now… just needs to keep shooting to break out of it… kind of crazy that with all of his shots towards the net he’s not getting any lucky deflections…

They did follow the rules, Lapanta and Carter were just feeding everyone bad information. The rule is they only get one shot attempt so they can’t bury a rebound, that’s where a double touch comes into play. When Vladar touched the puck that wasn’t on a shot, he was poke checking and Zuccy was still controlling the puck. Also has to continue forward progress, which Zuccy did.

I think there is a lot of subjectivity that goes into this one. A lot of players swing in wide and slow way down, moving laterally instead of moving forward, but its never called dead. Its almost like travelling in basketball. Happens pretty regularly but never gets called.

Maybe if it never gets called it’s because they’re actually continuing forward, even if only the slightest bit. I don’t know of a single instance where that’s ever been called so it’s really not like travelling in basketball at all.

Lateral movement isn’t moving forward though. Its moving sideways. If the rule says they must continue moving forward but they’re moving sideways, its a violation. And yet it never gets called. I know you’re a really big fan of the shootout too lol

Here’s one

Wheeler is still moving forward in that video… It might look like pure lateral movement but if they still keep even the slightest bit of forward movement, which they do, then there’s nothing to call. It’s not a rule problem, it’s a fans not comprehending the rule problem. The shootout is just dumb all around. The more players make a mockery of it, the better.

Remember the spin-o-rama from the first shootout years? That was banned because of the forward motion thing.

Things are a little tense in the Wild front office these days. Gurin cleared of verbal abuse allegations by internal investigation.

So what happened to Chris O’Hearn? Part of the same incident or something completely different?

I lost respect for Heydt when Russo did that story about him and he admitted to removing Gus Bus from the team text group because he had an android.
