I think the chances Dean get fired are pretty low unless of course they just continue to flounder. I remember last season starting out slow, but I dont think it was THIS bad!

outside of the assistant coaches he picked and appearently letting them keep doing what they are doing, not sure what Deano can do? Players need to play…

That was pretty dang funny! DeBoer. I dont much care for the guy, but he is right.

I think it was exactly the same quote he kept saying during the playoff series last year, and you know that was intentional by him…lol

I get a kick out of this page and many just like it. We win 2 in a row and look pretty good, we are turning it around and we are finally putting things where they need to be, and just wait until we are healthy. We lose three in a row in admittedly disturbing fashion, and it is time to start firing people. The highs and lows of being a MN sports fan. coffee

If you get a kick out of that you should jump on the Vikings page. The roller coaster there has been great.

Don’t look now but Bedard is a ppg player at the moment and has more goals than any player on the Wild and Ek is the Wilds leading goal scorer basically playing third line.

That Vikes thread is so bipolar it changes every quarter. Dobbs has gone back and forth from journeyman joke to GOAT a few times in less than 2 weeks. Kirk who?? Lol. KOC being clueless to coach of the year and then back to clueless in the 2nd half jester

    Boldy Rossi Mojo?

I hear you just meant he is playing with a Moose and a Big Rig that isn’t exactly fleet of foot?

Below is is our second leading goal scorer.
Sorry I just like the pic.

Looking at capfriendly and all of the NMCs/NTCs, GMBG better hope the guys on this team can figure it out, because there’s really no levers he can pull to change the roster up much for the next 3 years…

Pretty sure we said something to the affect of not having any triggers to pull last year as well.

You guys were awfully quiet about him the last month or so until he just caught fire…I’ve been biting my tongue )
What a joke the other night though when he took a solid check from a Florida defender and Foligno and a few other Hawks players reacted like the Secret Service protecting the President and jumped the guy…i’m sure even the Great One would say that was a joke…

Man can that kid ever shoot though…

I doubt the great one ever took a check like that.

That happens to every star player when they get smashed.

Haha No I meant it like the original reply… Hartman #2 in goals after Ek. Joe’s 2 favorite players who he’s always saying how great they are

So this Wild team sucks right now, that’s pretty obvious. But individually they’re significantly more talented than the 100+ point Wild team last year. Just looking at the roster now compared to last season it’s definitely better now. That makes losses more frustrating but to me gives confidence that they will figure it out soon.

If I see “not much the goalie could do” one more time I’m going to puke

JoJo is pretty much in “I have a 2 year deal with a NMC” cruise control right now…Boldy can’t hit the net to save his life…I know its a fine line shooting high, but he’s a built-in breakout for the other team when he shoots…

Rossi is still our best player in terms of game performance this season, not sure he’s really had a bad game yet?…He and Boldy have had their chances together, just haven’t capitalized…

So many holes to plug its kinda scary…

Joe you can’t honestly be surpised their 18 year old second coming of christ took a big hit and their tough guy vets brought in on inflated contacts to protect him got after the guy who hit him

Fights after hits have nothing to do with whether or not the hit was clean

Agree. Hence my comments last night that Flower was not strong. We were roasting Jack Cambell a few pages back. He was sent down and his coach fired. You know who has a worse save percentage than Cambell. Gus. You know who is only .005 higher than Cambell. Flower.

    But Dallas had breakaways coffee

Fun fact: on average 3 out of 4 breakaways are saved in the NHL. National Hockey League goalies are allowed, hell some are even expected, to make hard saves.

    31st is goals against
    31st in save percentage
22nd in expected goals against (team defense)

Hopefully they had whiskey for that closed-door meeting. And hopefully somebody flipped some tables and threw some chairs.

Looks like the lowly Sharks are only team that has allowed more goals in the entire league. Yikes

If I see “not much the goalie could do” one more time I’m going to puke

I can see that “argument” being used on 5 of the goals scored last night.

1st goal (PP) – Pavelski beats 2 Wild defenders for the rebound (sure I guess Flower should have not given up the leaky rebound)
2nd goal (SH) – Faksa 5 hole from the slot, absolutely on Flower but great turnover by the Wild…
3rd goal – Duchene shot in the slot, probably the worst Wild goal given up all year imo…we had all 5 Wild guys within 10 feet of the net watch him score
4th goal (PP) – Johnston bullet from the slot
5th goal (PP) – Dandanov in the crease plowed over by Middleton
6th goal (PP) – Robertson wide open in the slot
7th goal (PP) – Robertson bomb from the blueline, totally on Flower if he saw it, but looked like Spurgeon screened him?
8th goal (SH) – Johnston break away, Flower looked like he said f this noise and gave up…

good gawd that was brutal to write up….so 3-4 goals you can put on Flower? He also stopped 3 of 4 breakaways? Yes, not great, but 4 or 5 of the goals he didn’t have much of a chance at all…not sure any goalie in the NHL would? I don’t know…felt like Dallas should have had 10 last night…

so 3-4 goals you can put on Flower?

3-4 goals… In a single game… Can it get any more obvious? Every game this year has been “only 1 or 2 on Flower/Gus”. Last year when they were winning it was Gus saved 2-3 shoulda been goals every game. Good NHL goalies have zero goals be their fault and even save a few that “no goalie should be expected to make”.

Kaprizov “banged up” and missed practice today

Wallstedt making the trip to Sweden as the 3rd goalie/taxi squad

not surprised, just said it was a joke…well known “destroyer” Dimitri Kulikov of all people made the hit…i’d love to hear what Tkachuk said to him afterwards…99% of the time when a fight happens after a huge hit its because its an open-ice hit, in which the Defender makes the choice of putting himself out of position to crush somebody…I can’t remember the last time a normal rub-out side boards hit like that started something (unless of course the guy came from the other side of the rink)

Little bit more than a rub out, but sure. You think Kulikov is going to make that hit again?? That’s the point.

I think Chicago still ended up with the Powerplay there?? Yeah that part is a joke.

for THIS defensive trainwreck of a team, only 3-4 goals given up is probably good…

If Kulikov or any NHL defenseman DOESN’T make that hit, they won’t be in the league anymore…that’s a standard NHL hit albiet its done on an 18 year old with no muscle mass yet…

He gave up 8. 3-4 were the ones you said he could have should have saved.

Foligno got 2 minutes for Hooking and 2 minutes for Roughing, no other penalties called on the play…

ok, that almost made me spit up my drink…

I wasn’t ready to annoint him the Golden Child before he stepped foot on NHL ice…that thought process was working until he blew up the last 2 games )
