    Flower has not been strong.
Team has been atrocious but outside of a breakaway save he has not been strong…

he has like 3 or 4 breakaway saves…

Trust me sitting right behind him.
Might be one of the worst games I have seen this team play honestly. So slow and sloppy.

Great he also has let in a five hole shot that was terribly soft and several others that he never tracked the puck at all.
Game was basically over when he made the breakaway saves they already gave up 3 in the first.

This teams issues are much deeper than goal tending.

Yeah, that’s all Flowers fault. Has nothing to do with coughing up pucks like mad. This is maddening to watch!

And now giving up a short handed goal. Can it get any worse on special teams?

Don’t think anyone said it was Flowers fault. I certainly didn’t.

Yeah, that’ll do er. Just like it did we the last time.

Giving up that many PP goals in one game is inexcusable and coaching firings need to happen. This is a system issue.

At least we have the Vikings and Wolves. A couple teams that can actually win. This team is getting hard to watch. They were in the game for a while but cannot stay out of the dang box or kill a stinking penalty for their lives.

They need a complete philosophy change on the PK, no tweaks or adjustments, they need a NEW voice leading it and teaching it and the players need to buy into it (and maybe change who those PKers are) It’s one thing to tell players to block more shots, but you need players willing to go out and actually get in front of them…

Obviously the cap and contract NMC’s can make changes very difficult if not impossible, if that’s the case, GMBG needs to sleep in the bed he made then…

I get a kick out of this page and many just like it. We win 2 in a row and look pretty good, we are turning it around and we are finally putting things where they need to be, and just wait until we are healthy. We lose three in a row in admittedly disturbing fashion, and it is time to start firing people. The highs and lows of being a MN sports fan. coffee

at what point in the past 2+ years has the PK NOT been a huge issue? It has finally got to historically bad levels this season and the only real option is to fire the PK coach (you can’t fire the players) as we’ve exhausted every possible tweak or adjustment that’s supposedly been made…

I’m not calling for Deano’s head, just the PK coach so the players/fans can point to an ACTUAL change and reset, its really the only option…Bob Woods isn’t going to walk into Dean’s office and say “I finally figured it out, let’s tweak this”

Dean’s seat has got to be getting warm. For sure the special teams guys. That was abysmal

Leipold would need to agree to eat 2 years od Dean’s contract, while also paying a new coach…likely not going to happen… GMBG also said Dean can only do so much with $15 million in missing players…Firing Dean would make him look really bad and that’s likely not going to happen…Firing the Assistant in charge of the PK (Woods?) is the cheapest & easiest route, Dean won’t like it, but he wants to keep coaching in the NHL…

They never looked pretty good even when they won. The win against the Islanders was the first time since Oct 17 that they have allowed less than 3 goals in a game.

They start games slow, fall behind, and chase the game. The excuse that they had injuries on defense clearly isn’t viable because nothing has changed with players returning from injury.

We’re almost 20% through the season now and there have been absolutely no improvements, especially from a defensive stand point.

I agree with CaptainMusky, Dean’s chair has to be getting warm by now.

I can’t wait for the next time GMBG goes on KFAN’s Barriero show, that could get heated quickly because you know Dan is going to ask about the buyouts and the contracts he handed out to the older players basically locking this team in for the next 3-4 years…Maybe the time difference in Sweden is a blessing in disguise right now…

I think the chances Dean get fired are pretty low unless of course they just continue to flounder. I remember last season starting out slow, but I dont think it was THIS bad!

Lol oh yes. BG loses his mind about that pretty quickly. He also hates being asked about first round playoff exits. Haha

This play somehow turned into a goal 1 second later…5 Wild guys all in the frame watching Duchene score in slot right in front of them…

and how about Debeur trolling Deano and Wild players saying “We knew they were going to take penalties, we gotta make them pay for it”

it’s so frustrating to hear him say it, because its SO TRUE…

Looking at capfriendly and all of the NMCs/NTCs, GMBG better hope the guys on this team can figure it out, because there’s really no levers he can pull to change the roster up much for the next 3 years…
